Why not? Maybe some believe they are more trustworthy to share information with than the media....

This is not great news imo.  He's Indiana's go to national media guy.  I think DeVries is a solid coach, he would be my choice out of the 3.

The last two coaches we had didn’t have any P4/5 coaching experience. I fear that our hopes and dreams are just that. And that these “reports” about Brownell, McCollum and Devries are closer to the truth. That would be depressing af. 
 

I could manufacture a narrative of hope around McCollum’a history of winning at D2.  But I would have hoped IU would go after a Wade/Beard level coach.

Believe he has said he’s been texted numerous times by a booster (or boosters) about it but he either doesn’t believe it or hasn’t been able to corroborate it.
