To be fair, Woodson was everyone’s #1 target here. With his accolades as a coach, his experience on the college level, and he’s a Hoosier.

Don’t forget that coaching is a bit of a fraternity and these guys respect each other/adhere to certain principles. One of those is you don’t take a position that is currently filled. So for next steps, do not be looking out for announcing a hire before we see an official “Mike Woodson steps down as Indiana’s coach” announcement. That’ll happen, but that’s the next milestone to look out for, not “big wink.”

Regarding Brad Stevens it must be unbelievable feeling to be wanted in high level jobs/careers that are so prestigious, fun, and something you love and all of them are many multi millions of dollars endeavors. (Jobs/careers).

I am kind of confused here. That announcement was made in February.

I’m not suggesting that Woodson/IUAD may pivot on him leaving, but that until he is officially no longer the HC, he is currently the HC and nothing comes next before that is no longer his title.
