Maybe. My experience is only one experience. Maybe IU is doing this, and you definitely have more insight into how IU specially operates (i mean that genuinely). 

Seems like an utter waste of unnecessary time, though. Not sure why people that don't know anything anyways would need to be coordinated to drip misinformation to donors. Just seems silly.

Maybe there isn’t any new news. There were a few people with apparent inside info that said we would not hear anything for a few weeks or when our season ends. We aren’t there yet.

The issue is simple... as the season winds down for some of these teams, more coaching openings are created... and there is a finite number of quality/successful candidates to fill those slots... and competition heats up for those schools with openings... supply and demand would suggest that coaches are gonna get paid.

I wish it was $8M if he left. I still think $3.3M is too much to pay for him but I could see IU doing that.

Just briefly, at a certain level of giving, each donor gets assigned a “contact person” in the AD’s office (associate AD, assistant AD, etc.).  If the donor wants info about anything, they go to their contact person.  The names that that been passed along and generally picked up by the “media” (Goodman, etc.) are names that these contacts are giving to the donors.  Unless you believe a name like Beard is actually a cey are false flags.

There may have been a reason that Indiana also wanted it out there that they looked into someone like Beard to appease someone as well, weather or not that was a booster or an agent.
