IU written statement Monday and intro press conference after Drake's season ends. IU would want that to be known going into the portal, was the thinking... Hence if it didn't happen Monday, it wouldn't happen at all. 

The Goodman tweet was clearly instigated by McCollum, possibly to signal his preference for Iowa, so they can try and get something done instead.

How can a “bridge” hire be for as long as the guy he’s bridging from? That makes no sense. Woodson was never intended as a “bridge” guy. WQB sold us a bill of goods.

Pretty good watch and at around the 40 minute mark he talks about the coaching search. To the posters who don't want McCollum you will like what Galen says about him. I don't know if he knows much but with him doing a lot of sports media at IU you would think he has some knowledge.

One positive is Iowa is almost certainly going to have to overpay him because of it lol. Solid agenting by his people.

I would give him a very unenthusiastic chance. To me, it would signal that IU is very okay with being mediocre so I would be even less invested in the team than I currently am. I'd probably just check scores after the fact and watch 1 or 2 games the first year. If I couldn't watch a game, I probably wouldn't bother to have live updates on my phone like I do now. Then if it looks like it was actually a good hire, I'd start to come back but it would be slow.

My wife IS English, so I use "quid" all the time. It's impossible to not have her vocabulary leach into mine after so many years.
