Just ready for this to be over and to know the decision. The fact that Goobman gets all of us to jump every time he tweets makes me sick. I’m not even sure how I feel about McCollum. To be honest, it makes me nervous, but I would support him. But just imagine our meltdown when he takes the Iowa job haha. The Turge about to dominate headlines in here again.

I think Goodman gets commissions for getting all of these other coaches raises or higher paying jobs. Kidding but maybe not kidding

Reality: I want Indiana to hire a proven guy too. But the time for that was 2001 and 2006. They did so with Sampson and we know how that turned out. Mike Davis is a great guy...but that decision to keep him has haunted the program for a long time. This isn't Dolson's fault Previous administrators have ruined this program.

I know a lot of you don't like Goodman but I think McCollum is the guy. The timing was interesting considering it was after Indiana lost today. Again not my favorite choice but I don't hate it. I take his resume over Archie Miller's. You don't win 4 titles in D2 and 30 games in D1 by accident. My question is how does his personality fit at IU. I hope he can create a good culture.

If Kansas or Duke hired McCollum this offseason, would folks laugh at them or be disappointed it wasn’t us? How do you all think he’d do at either of those programs?

Duke hired a coach who has zero head coaching experience.  And they are number one in the nation.  A good coach can coach no matter the experience. A bad coach can’t even with experience.

Aren't you always in the laughing columns of every poster that has had something to say about stevens for like the past 4 weeks?

I either have an admirer or a stalker.  Either way, I am flattered.

It doesn't appear to be or we would be attracking big time coaches not mid major guys.

It's probably a factor if it's down to picking one or the other to be the head coach.

I would be curious to see who would be more popular choice if we could go to Fantasy Island and get our guy: Brad Stevens or Jay Wright?

Neither. Just something that I noticed. I dont know if it was all of them but I'm perceptive enough to know it was a bunch of them. It's all good, everybody has their own opinions.

How is he immediately after games?  How is his coaching/communication style?  More so than a presser.  Those are easy if you win and are impossible if you lose here.  He has won no doubt.  Will it translate?  A lot of questions.  But I think once we get past the McDermott/TJO level we were always going to have exponentially more questions.  Even at that level there would be some.

He told macasland his offense sucked and was easy to guard! That is badass!

Duke funnels in 5 star recruits. It’s not at all comparable to IU.

Sure.  It's fun to read and hope, but they need to stop making comments like, "Dolson has his guy," or "Done deal," or "It's always been Brad."

They don't know anything!

Brad Stevens will be the next coach at IU.  Done deal.

So I've been told.

May I kindly ask what you gain from this?

Never said he can’t win, I’m implying Indiana can’t land the big fish because it’s not just “Indiana’ anymore.

UNC, UK, UL, Nova, UCONN, UCLAx2, Florida and probably Kansas sooner than later would like a word. Established P5 Coaches with zero personal tie to the school aren’t leaving good jobs for other big jobs. It simply isn’t happening now that everyone can pay players. I’m not saying it doesn’t stink to have reality bite us in the face, but this is the market. It doesn’t speak to what IU is or isn’t as a job.

Scheyer has unreal backing from Nike and gets the pick of the litter. He seems like a competent coach with every advantage known to man.

Also recruited kids of this caliber and dealt with the egos and things that accompany big recruits with Coach K for years.

If we had Dukes advantages I’d be less worried as our coach could virtually hand pick his starting lineup every season.

We need Tiny to go to the Huntington airport and speak with the Millers and ask them who was on their plane from Boston to Indy lol.  I don’t go to that side of town anymore.

You around Huntington?

Yeah, I don't mean it in a malicious way, but I get a kick out of that info after 2021 and now this coaching search.  A small part of me hopes it's BS, but I also don't want to fall for it.  Fool me once, shame on you.  Fool me twice, shame on me.
