Yep it's going to be a risk to find out how he is as a recruiter at this level. First cycle at D1 level without much of his core from Drake. We'll see what he's made of... he's apparently impressive to a lot of people that are impressive in their own right.
The fact he's put plenty of D2 guys into professional leagues overseas says a lot about his development. I don't care if he hasn't landed a Burger Boy (YET)... I'd expect him to pursue a couple every year, maybe get one, but primarily focus on scouting his kind of players in HS, developing them, and spending most of NIL on portal guys to fill in gaps.
As you know recruiting is such an interpersonal thing, I wouldn't hold his lack of NBA draftees against his ability to build relationships.
We will see. Very capable coach. I like the vision. Should be fun.
Another meh hire imo. I hope it works out, but I'm not expecting much honestly. Thought we could do much better

Maybe he’ll be great but he sounds a lot like Ray Harper to me. Except Harper got a guy to the NBA

I am on the Big fish train till the end, but at one point you listed McCollum as 2b choice (BS, May (gone) McC) and said we would be getting a great coach. He isn’t close to BS certainly but you seem to have soured on him a lot.

IMO, he's as good as IU could have realistically hoped to hire. And he would be great... if he ends up being the guy.

I think he’ll be fine.

If it’s not the A tier candidates I’d much rather take a swing at a guy like McCollum than someone like Brownell.

Regardless of who the next coach is, the fanbase needs to back him. Show support and rally the program.
We will certainly give them a shot and hope the risk works. I guess we will see if doldon really is a genius or not

I think if Rabby is saying there’s a ton of smoke behind McCollum then that’s likely the case. He doesn’t gamble much with this stuff.

However, Rabby has to start gambling at some point. He's got to show his subscribers that he "knows" something. With how quite things have been in this search, he's probably feeling the heat.

Oh after they stirred up that Beard stuff last week (after saying he wasn't a candidate since the start) then immediately went back to saying he's not a candidate, he's been banning people right and left when people were rightfully starting to get after him.

I have serious doubts that Scott answered any questions about anyone that he may have interviewed.

I'm referring to Goodman's quote in his tweet.

No way that Scott is telling Goodman anything and Goodman's tweet doesn't quote Scott - just references "sources."
