I think a couple of things are at play here. One is you can only pick from who’s actually in the portal at the time. They may have reason to believe more wings are coming within the week.

Two: they ain’t taking all the bigs they’ve contacted.

Eric Bossi suggesting the Timberlake/UNC visit did not go as well as many had hoped in UNC country. If he sets up more visits, UNC (the perceived favorite) might be in trouble. Something to keep an eye on.

Here is the quote from Bossi: 

"However, Timberlake has yet to commit and there are rumbles of some concern out of Tar Heel land.

Timberlake has yet to lock in any other visits for next week, but Kansas and Indiana have been rumored as potential spots and they’re among others like St. John’s and UCLA working to get him on campus. If Timberlake does indeed lock in visits, then it might be time for UNC to start making moves on other targets."

Then there are these comments from Caleb Love's dad in the IndyStar:

"He wants to win," Dennis Love, Caleb's father, told IndyStar. "So, he wants to be on a team that plays in a manner that is open, right — not having a clogged lane. Being able to take advantage of his playmaking skills. A situation that allows him to show his skillset. He also wants to be in a situation, where he can be taught, man, improve his efficiency.

"He wants to be coached. He really wants to be coached and really have someone help him get better. And then he obviously wants to be in a situation that allows him to achieve his ultimate dream, his goal — to get to the league."

I think it'll be a different type of offense. More movement. More screens. Less throw the ball to the block and work from there. There will be space. Coach Hunter also made that same comment on his twitter spaces interview the other day, that the offense will look different this year.

Love can be coached hard. His HS coach for 3 years was Justin Tatum, Jayson’s father, who is a very, very tough coach.
