Popular Post Class of '66 Old Fart Posted January 16, 2022 Author Popular Post Posted January 16, 2022 Point Guard Eyes @PointGuardEyes @IndianaMBB signee Jalen Hood-Schifino was in complete control of this game. He was a true maestro, ending w/ 11a to go w/ his 12p & 9r for @MVABasketball. Such an impressive skillset. He made his teammates' lives so easy. Very unselfish, makes the rt play, & plays w/ pace. If JHS had a 3 pt shot he would be a top 10 player in this class. He has it all except for the 3 pt shot Class of '66 Old Fart, lillurk, WayneFleekHoosier and 2 others 5 Quote

DChoosier Posted January 18, 2022 Posted January 18, 2022 Obviously would like JHS to shoot better from the three but what I love is the fact he is playing against, and winning player of the tourney awards, a ton of D1 talent as opposed to a guy that dominates a bunch of kids from the middle of nowhere Bugtussle..Should be fun to see him in the candystripes EDIT: The two teams tonight, Montverde and IMG, have 10 of the top 36 players in the county!!! 10 of 36 is absolutely astounding. Between Bates and JHS we have landed one kid from each of the two schools. Would be great if that turned into a pipeline. HoosierHoops1, cybergates, 8bucks and 2 others 5 Quote
Demo Posted January 19, 2022 Posted January 19, 2022 Someone in the comments busts out a Jalen Brunson comp. Hadn’t thought of that one. That’s pretty good. cybergates 1 Quote

A bigger, stronger, faster Jalen Brunson seems kind of good. Edit: replace stronger with more explosive maybe? Brunson was pretty thick. Quote

Popular Post Class of '66 Old Fart Posted January 28, 2022 Author Popular Post Posted January 28, 2022 The 19th annual Montverde Academy Invitational Tournament (MAIT) got underway last night and Montverde defeated Kimball (TX) 91-70. Jalen with 26 pts. was the game's high scorer per The Season Ticket. Comments from Jamie Shaw following this game -- This game was Jalen Hood-Schifino’s first since the McDonald’s All-American committed announced its rosters. Matched up against Arterio Morris, Hood-Schifino was fantastic. The 6-foot-5 point guard controlled the tempo of the game’s pace on both ends of the floor and did so in a smooth manner. Hood-Schifino, the On3 Consensus No. 21 player in his class, is a strong framed lead guard. He knows how to use his body and create angles to attack. Off the bounce, he touched the paint and played off two feet, distributing passes or finishing with an array of finishes. The Montverde (Fl.) Academy lead guard knocked down his only three of the night and took on the defensive assignment of Morris. He finished with 24 points, eight rebounds, and four assists in the win. Recruiting: Hood-Schifino is committed to Indiana. BtownStrength, LockdownD, cybergates and 9 others 12 Quote
