ThompsonHoosier Posted September 10, 2019 Posted September 10, 2019 After last Saturday's shutout win against Eastern Illinois, the Hoosiers will have much much tougher test as we begin conference play in Bloomington against the No. 6 Buckeyes. As coach Allen mentioned, they are the typical Ohio State with playmakers all over the field. The Hoosiers have been competitive against the Buckeyes in recent years but have been unable to get over the hump (maybe this is the year we finally do it?). Ohio State opened as a 14-pt favorite, which is the lowest spread in quite some time. Gus Johnson and Joel Klatt have the call from Memorial Stadium on Saturday. ESPN's Football Power Index gives us a 22% chance of upsetting the Buckeyes. For those that follow/enjoy SP+ rankings: Ohio State (2-0): Overall: 5 Offense: 14 Defense: 11 Special Teams: 23 Indiana (2-0): Overall: 40 Offense: 57 Defense: 44 Special Teams: 1 Let's Go Hoosiers!! Popular Post IUc2016 Posted September 10, 2019 Popular Post Posted September 10, 2019 Can you imagine the Hoosiers winning on Saturday and every time you rewatch the upset you get to hear Gus Johnson call the game? I for one, believe that is heaven. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners JaybobHoosier, Naturalhoosier, IUsafety and 6 others 9 Quote
Popular Post Chips&Dipo Posted September 10, 2019 Popular Post Posted September 10, 2019 Update on my throwback Rose Bowl sweater. It arrived today. I believe this bodes well for our beloved Hoosiers come Saturday. Naturalhoosier, mamasa, thebigweave and 5 others 8 Quote

bigrod Posted September 10, 2019 Posted September 10, 2019 I've been wondering, given the timing of this game, if it is possible that DeBoer has been purposely holding back the full offensive scheme. Either way, I hope they throw everything they can at them. thebigweave and Leo 2 Quote
ap2345 Posted September 10, 2019 Posted September 10, 2019 If you could magically choose ONE game for IU to win this year, which would it be? Awfully tempting to knock off the smug @ss-holes from O$U, Michigan certainly deserves it after all the close calls, ....Purdoo is always a good choice. So who would you pick? OSU because they are the longest odds to upset and that would put a damper on their playoff hopes. Michigan and Purdue I think are both beatable if the games a played well.Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app Hardwood83 1 Quote

WayneFleekHoosier Posted September 11, 2019 Posted September 11, 2019 Ohio State for me by a landslide. The most entitled midwestern fanbase (football). So arrogant and cocky. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners RatpigHoosier 1 Quote
Hoosier Roots Posted September 11, 2019 Posted September 11, 2019 Is there any reason we’re LESS likely to win this year than others? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners Quote
The Ola Depot Posted September 11, 2019 Posted September 11, 2019 Anyone heard about Penix not throwing all week? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app Chris007 1 Quote
bigrod Posted September 11, 2019 Posted September 11, 2019 Maybe there was another reason he left so early the last game. It's not like they were up a ton when he left. Chris007 1 Quote
Chris007 Posted September 11, 2019 Posted September 11, 2019 Bigrod is a correct man. I can't say much but I will take OSU and the 16 Quote

But unfortunately he's correct, that's all I should say at this point Quote
Hoosierfan2017 Posted September 11, 2019 Posted September 11, 2019 not good. I was looking forward to seeing Penix against Ohio State. I thought it was odd to take out your starting quarterback late in the first half, even with the outcome decided, because he needs game reps. So this makes sense. Quote

The Ola Depot Posted September 11, 2019 Posted September 11, 2019 Again, don’t know what connections this guy has but this and the fact he still has been doing interviews could be enough to hold out hope but Chris didn’t sound too optimistic so I won’t hold my breath.
