LamarCheeks Posted March 27, 2019 Posted March 27, 2019 This is women's coaching carousel news, but it's somewhat interesting. MaChelle Joseph fired at Georgia Tech. She says it's because she called out the administration for Title IX violations, Georgia Tech says it's because of player mistreatment. Joseph is from Indiana, is a former Indiana All-Star and went to Purdue ... https://www.ajc.com/sports/college/machelle-joseph-fired-georgia-tech/hH8W6QvPduR8ItGgzXvQ4N/ Quote

I'm guessing no, but curious if this would be the perfect opportunity to bring on former player like Lewis. I was never a fan of hiring a head coach that had IU ties simply b/c he had IU ties. But having someone on staff that's been here before, I can see value in that. HinnyHoosier 1 Quote

If Ostrom takes a job I could see Lewis coming in. I think Lewis is at the top of the list of people we would want. I have heard talk of the current administration wanting someone with IU ties in the program. Hutch89, MemphisHoosier, Hollywood Mike Miranda and 11 others 14 Quote

Honkyman Posted March 27, 2019 Posted March 27, 2019 Michael Lewis was a great shooter in high school--led the state in scoring, as I recall. He was willing to take on the roll as distributor at IU and was one of the all-time great point guards. He would make an excellent assistant coach and one who could convey the IU culture perhaps better than the other assistants who are there. Chris007, thebigweave, barrettballer and 3 others 6 Quote

JSHoosier Posted March 27, 2019 Posted March 27, 2019 I would be more than okay having Lewis on the bench. I want to see changes on the staff anyway. MoyeNeeded and Kepner 2 Quote
