rcbowla Posted April 8, 2019 Posted April 8, 2019 I'm just curious-where do you all rank Knight (no IU bias) as far as college basketball coaches of all time? No order but figure these guys have to be the top 4: Bob Knight, Coach K, Dean Smith, John Wooden Have to have Rupp in there unfortunately I think.Sent from my Pixel XL using BtownBanners mobile app Quote

Sounds familiar to today's way. Regardless he has to be considered one of the top 5 imoSent from my Pixel XL using BtownBanners mobile app Quote

Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners mobile app For everything it took to put the product on the court? From 1972 - 1993 ... yes indeed. And that's a really long stretch. After the Grahams/Henderson/Bailey/Cheaney years it seems like he delegated more, recruited less, and the on-court product became more and more a victim of his personality flaws. ccgeneral, Class of '66 Old Fart, jonz44 and 1 other 4 Quote

Knight career really was odd in 22 years he won 11 conference tiles and 3 NCs. Next 14 none of either. jonz44 and Stuhoo 2 Quote

Popular Post Josh Posted April 9, 2019 Popular Post Posted April 9, 2019 Thank you for all the memories and championships Coach! Thank you for winning cleanly and for all the high character men you developed. You're the greatest to do it imo. Alzheimers sucks. It runs on both sides of my family so I've witnessed it and expect to get it some day. My wife promises to shove me in the guest suite when it happens with a case of beer and an IU basketball championship game on repeat. I love her. For those of you experiencing it with your parents, I'm sorry. It's a terrible thing to see. Please remember though, you're very blessed to have your parents so long. Some people have lost their parents at very young ages and would give anything to have been around their parents as long as you have. Enjoy it if you can. colonel06, RoadRage, Class of '66 Old Fart and 15 others 17 1 Quote

Stuhoo Posted July 11, 2019 Posted July 11, 2019 Chronic Hoosier@ChronicHoosier Per the HT-"Property transfer records filed recently in the Monroe County Assessor’s Office show that a just-built house in the 1500 block of South Andrew Circle in the Shadow Creek neighborhood was sold to Robert M. Knight and Karen Knight on July 2." The takeaway? The chances that Coach Bobby Knight appears at Assembly Hall this coming season are very, very high. mookied39, HinnyHoosier, ALASKA HOOSIER and 3 others 6 Quote

Fairly certain I used to turn around in the neighborhood whenever my wife forgot something. Quote

But the only thing she can remember me yelling during basketball games over the years while she sat in the other room is "C'mon Hornsby"! BTW, I liked Kyle Hornsby. Very interesting news about RMK if true. Quote
