IUfan_Charlie Posted February 20, 2019 Posted February 20, 2019 When you can’t win holding a team under 50 you have BIG problems. This offense has been anemic most of the year but this is a new low. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners ElectricBoogaloo, southsidehoosier and Alford Bailey 3 Quote
fwgreenway Posted February 20, 2019 Posted February 20, 2019 Don't know if it's already been said, but I always think - every game just give it all you have and let the chips fall. This was a great team effort tonight! thebigweave 1 Quote
JSHoosier Posted February 20, 2019 Posted February 20, 2019 4 players had 3 turnovers a piece, and we only shot 61% from the line. Great defense, but that was heartbreaking. Far too often the offense seems to be dribble handoff and hope for the best. Too little movement and too many times where the ball just dies. Why does Smith play so much? Bailey7878 Posted February 20, 2019 Posted February 20, 2019 Shoot 27%, 20%from 3 and commit 17 turnovers. Terrible basketball. If we could even somewhat shoot we would of won by 10 to 15.Sent from my SM-J700T using Tapatalk Quote
bleedhoosier Posted February 20, 2019 Posted February 20, 2019 New offense - get the ball to Smith at the 3 so he can stare at the ground and throw some garbage up and let Davis work weakside putback Josh 1 Quote
Popular Post VO5 Posted February 20, 2019 Popular Post Posted February 20, 2019 Guys just think how many balls rolled in and out tonight? How many close shots did Juwan, Justin, and Romeo miss tonight? Legit point blank misses. How many WIDE open 3 pointers did we miss? Archie can’t put the ball in the basket for these guys. We did everything else fine, besides some lazy passes which at this point, is on the players. They are who they are. cthomas, pappy1865, cchuntsman and 13 others 16 Quote
TheWatShot Posted February 20, 2019 Posted February 20, 2019 The last few minutes were a microcosm of where both programs are at right now. They need buckets, they get them. We need a bucket, we choke. Gonna be really tough to shed this losing culture. Bailey7878 1 Quote
colonel06 Posted February 20, 2019 Posted February 20, 2019 That was great defense on a tough team that will prob be the champ.Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners Quote
Bailey7878 Posted February 20, 2019 Posted February 20, 2019 We can stay in alot of games with our D but this offense wont take us far even next year.Sent from my SM-J700T using Tapatalk Quote
HoosierRobbie Posted February 20, 2019 Posted February 20, 2019 If Archie expects to still be here in a couple of years, he has to get some shooters, this offense will not cut it. I don’t think I could be any sicker of losing to purdue.Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners Bailey7878, ElectricBoogaloo, pumpfake and 1 other 4 Quote

Archie isn’t perfect, but if a game like this (with 100% more effort than Minny) doesn’t show you that the roster is made up of terrible shooters, I don’t know what will prove it to you. Anyone else noticed through the first 30 minutes of the game, we averaged 10 points in 10 minutes. Can’t even describe. For those of you bad at math, that’s 1 point per minute. Not a point per possession. One per minute. Let that sink in. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app pumpfake, IUrocker, theriverpilot and 1 other 4 Quote

Sent from my SM-G920V using BtownBanners mobile app I’m sorry but this isn’t possible. A coach doesn’t make anyone a bad shooter. If you’re a shooter, you’re a shooter. They put in countless hours in practice and on their own in cook hall. Archie isn’t doing anything to make them bad shooters. We just don’t have a single elite, or even good, shooter on our team Hoosierfan2017, Geometry Hoosier, theriverpilot and 3 others 6 Quote
DChoosier Posted February 20, 2019 Posted February 20, 2019 Morgan 3-14 Al, Rob and Green were a combined 4-21 Green with 7 shots, 1-7, in 19 minutes. 3 TO’s with 1 assist. Smith 1-6 in 19 minutes with 3 TO’s and 0 assists (did have 6 boards). Romeo 2-6 in 32 minutes.....6 shots. 8 guys played and only McBob took less shots than Romeo. Nice effort but the offense is broke. Josh and kreigh8 1 1 Quote

But it was just talk and yet another loss and another game where Green and Smith had as many or more shots than Romeo. It’s still the same players. What did you expect? Justin Smith got less minutes and the team played with heart/energy for 40 minutes. That’s all I wanted to see. Anything else requires a roster overhaul. theriverpilot, hoosierfan6157, thebigweave and 1 other 4 Quote
