IUrocker Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 Good to see him get another gig. He deserves another shot somewhere with expectations that aren’t as high as IU. Fans there should be pleased with what he ought to be able to do there. Now watch Georgia turn into a defensive monster....how messed up would that be?! Haha Quote

Deserthoozier Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 Clap, clap, clap, clap, clap! Shout out to UGA for subsidizing buy-out!! Great landing for FCTC...softer b-ball in SEC Conference at football school with medium expectations. Quote
Popular Post johnsoniu Posted March 16, 2018 Popular Post Posted March 16, 2018 Good for Tom, wish him the best. Always said I didn't have a problem with Tom Crean, as long as he wasn't the HC at Indiana University Class of '66 Old Fart, IUBBFan1970, Napleshoosier and 5 others 8 Quote

Some of the things he did behind the scenes make you wonder if he was trying to screw up the program. He wouldn’t give his players, managers, or coaching staff a weekly schedule. They were constantly on call and it wore them down. He would run full speed walkthroughs on the day of games. No wonder most fans, the in state coaches and recruits hated him. There you go. Fixed that for ya. Iugradman 1 Quote
AKHoosier Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 Very happy for him, and I hope he does well. It'll be interesting to see how he goes about recruiting down there, as the ATL can get a bit murky from what I've read. I'll be rooting for him. IUsafety 1 Quote
Magnanimous Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 Have to wonder how this potentially affects Watford's recruitment. Quote

WayneFleekHoosier Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 $EC land. The administration there might let him land those questionable recruits he chased and missed at IU. $EC is loaded with coaches. Quickly becoming a serious conference with their financial dedication and ability to land 5 stars up and down the conference. Schools like Vandy, Alabama, Auburn, Florida, LSU, Mississippi State and others landing 5 stars. Interesting. SEC doesn’t play around and might become the 2nd best conference in basketball VERY soon.Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners MikeRoberts 1 Quote

Class of '66 Old Fart Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 Per Osterman, our financial obligation should be done. Just to be clear, it was probably fair to expect Georgia to pay Crean enough to offset IU's responsibility in the buyout. But I believe that was somewhere between $1.3 million and $1.4 million per year, so needed to see it to know for sure. mdn82 1 Quote

mdn82 Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 This would make me sad!I agree. When a team hires Tom Crean and that sparks a conversation of the SEC becoming the 2nd best conference that is sad.Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app chicagoHOOSIER, Napleshoosier and pumpfake 2 1 Quote
