Quite a conundrum for the NCAA - act on the incontrovertible and partially blow up the sport, or give every cheating program a mulligan. Yes, but it is not like they have the records of every single agent either. Yahoo said it read through hundreds of pages of documents and that is all they had to release. I'm sure there is more to come - and maybe my expectations were a little high - but this doesn't seem like much to me. MSU, USC, and Kentucky come off the worst here. Interesting to see media darlings Virginia and Villanova mentioned though. Honest question, do they have any other agency other than ASM? Quote

Popular Post Uspshoosier Posted February 23, 2018 Popular Post Posted February 23, 2018 I know he was a client of ASM. Just saying I wonder how far back the data goes, and wonder what could happen if some Balance Sheet from 2001 popped up.According to Alex Bozich, ASM wasn’t established until 2007 and Jeffries left IU in 2002 Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app IUHAHN81, 323SGrant, IUsafety and 7 others 9 1 Quote
coonhounds Posted February 23, 2018 Posted February 23, 2018 The current players who are listed will probably start sitting immediately right. I would bet they would if it was iu. Were any significant contributors on thereSent from my SM-G920V using BtownBanners mobile app Quote

I mean what are we the Dollar General of corruption? How much did McRoberts get under the table? What is the going rate for a +100 ranked player like OG? What kind of car is Al Durham driving? Sheesh, if you cheat and JBJ and Thomas Bryant are the best you can do.....I don't even know what to say. I want the hammer to fall. Kentucky, UNC and Duke are on my most wanted list. Syracuse and Kansas are close behind. D-bags make me sick. I've said that before: If Crean was cheating, he certainly wasn't very good at it. IUBBFan1970, Bailey7878 and Btownclouds 3 Quote

cthomas Posted February 23, 2018 Posted February 23, 2018 It takes the NCAA forever to resolve one case. There is no way they can deal with anything this pervasive. More likely, this will lead to a rewriting of the rule book that, much like phone-gate, will make some of this stuff go away. I just don't see much happening given, as so many posters have pointed out, the amount of money involved. johnsoniu and Dalton26 2 Quote
Dalton26 Posted February 23, 2018 Posted February 23, 2018 Dont get your hopes up fellas. In all likelyhood no one will get punished, the NCAA will not allow themselves to lose money so we are probably looking at rule changes and a "lets all move on" from the NCAA. thebigweave, pumpfake, cthomas and 2 others 5 Quote

If we have to give back a Sweet 16 on B1G title for impermissible benefits I am cool with it. I see them striking down the coaches that had direct knowledge of this and set up that direct link during recruiting. Cases listed in the article are for sure impermissible benefits, but they will cause vacated wins. It more hurts MSU and Duke that have current players on potential title teams. No way they can play those kids until this is cleaned up.Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app coonhounds, mamasa and Class of '66 Old Fart 3 Quote

WayneFleekHoosier Posted February 23, 2018 Posted February 23, 2018 I've been riding this train long before the FBI made it public. If you follow Indiana recruiting through the Sampson and Crean years and pay attention to recruiting and the NCAA landscape, you knew all this as well. OPEN up the entire can of worms. IDC if we publicly allow these players to legally make money. Lots of ways to do it. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners Quote
