716e11th Posted April 30, 2017 Posted April 30, 2017 Underage drinking....The horror of it all. Makes me miss the Knight years when literally not a single student athlete under 21 drank. I'm quite certain underage players on his bball team drank - most notably his son. There was a no bars policy that they did follow. thebigweave, Tom White and RealIU 3 Quote

Walking Boot of Doom Posted April 30, 2017 Posted April 30, 2017 In complete seriousness, we may need Priller to step up and play some minutes this year. Our frontcourt depth is very limited. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app ALASKA HOOSIER, Tom White and schoosier 3 Quote

Brass Cannon Posted April 30, 2017 Author Posted April 30, 2017 Better to give Moore PT next year even if there are growing pains. Gotta build for the future. Class of '66 Old Fart 1 Quote

He can set screens and knock down open shots. Maybe Archie will give him some playing time during the cupcake portion of the schedule to see what he can do. AKHoosier Posted April 30, 2017 Posted April 30, 2017 It'll be interesting to see what Moore can do with his minutes next year, because he just got more. Hopefully Blackmon comes back, suspect defense and all. We'll need his ability to stretch the defense. I really want us to hit up the grad transfer market too for a big guy. I'm not sure a rotation of Davis, Moore, McSwain, and Morgan will be enough to stay in the top 5 of the B1G and get a good tournament seed. On that same note, I hope we see Morgan add some bulk and work on finishing around the rim this summer. I still feel like he's more valuable to us in the paint than he is as a guard or a 3, and I thought Crean did too until this past year when he slimmed down and had him bringing the ball up the floor and initiating the offense. There already isn't room on the roster for Blackmon, let alone a grad transfer. If Blackmon comes back, somebody else loses a scholarship or transfers. If Blackmon comes back and they add a grad transfer, two fellas lose scholarships or would have to transfer. Quote

There could be a transfer or two. We dont know yet because they are still in school. Let's say gelon and Jones leaves you then have an open slot.Sent from my SM-J700T using Tapatalk Quote

Dalton26 Posted April 30, 2017 Posted April 30, 2017 We will be fine. Look at Wisconsin with the right coach you don't need superior talent.Sent from my SM-J700T using TapatalkTHIS^ couldn't agree more. Last season we had the talent where making the tournament shouldn't have even been a question but look what happened. Good or bad coaching can have a huge effect and I think Archie will have us dancing next year. ALASKA HOOSIER, Brass Cannon, Class of '66 Old Fart and 2 others 5 Quote
yogisballin Posted April 30, 2017 Posted April 30, 2017 For me I look at a guy like Noah Vonleh for a comparison. They're both probably stretch 4's. Vonleh has the tools to be a perfect one. He's 6'9, with a 7'4 wingspan. He can shoot the ball pretty well, and he's very athletic, much more athletic than Bryant. He was much better coming out of college than Bryant is right now into and he has struggled so far in his career. I just don't see TB having a career in the NBA, but I could be wrong. Agree with you on Bryant. But like some say, time will tell us allSent from my iPhone using BtownBanners ALASKA HOOSIER and Hoosierfan2017 2 Quote
Trish Posted May 1, 2017 Posted May 1, 2017 I think we still have more talent than Miller has ever had without TB coming back. That being said.. it is the B1G. Need James to come back if we want to compete in the conference and in the dance. I see us top 6 in B1G. ALASKA HOOSIER 1 Quote

Huh, I'm assuming they mean the chances that both come back is 50/50, not that each decision is 50/50. Hoosierfan2017 1 Quote

I'm not sure what minutes you are talking about last year that were legitimate, non-mop up minutes. The Purdue minutes were him just fouling and getting Purdue not guarding him on defense. Quote
