Let's let Priller stay on the bench and be the 20 point guy or if we get 2 or 3 guys in foul trouble. I couldn't even imagine Priller trying to hold his ground against Haas. Quote

Huge thanks to Marni for everything she's done. One of the best. Yes, she truly is one of the best and what a positive change she brought to the program when she assumed that position. Us oldtimers also remember another great one Elizabeth "Buzz" Kurpius who on more than one occasion was given specific thanks by a graduating senior basketball player on senior night. https://honorsandawards.iu.edu/search-awards/honoree.shtml?honoreeID=4614 IUsafety, Stuhoo and WayneFleekHoosier 3 Quote

This also makes me think of another woman at UNC who blew the whistle on rampant cheating at her school. No hall of fame honors for her; she was ran out of Chapel Hill. Is it pretty common for coaches to bring in their own "Marni's" when they take a new job? Don't know if staff turnover typically goes that far down the line or not when there's a head coaching change but interestingly Marni's departure coincides with FCTC's tenure and Buzz retired in 2000 when you know who was ousted. Also, Marni did get married not all that long ago and it's entirely possible she had planned this move for quite some time. Academics were important to RMK and they were to FCTC and they had really good people in that position. Don't know who held the Buzz/Marni position between the 2 coaches, but we don't need to go there. The burning question is how are we going to get early leads on potential new recruits? Tracking who Marni started to follow on Twitter has become legendary. ElectricBoogaloo, LockdownD, WayneFleekHoosier and 6 others 9 Quote

Marni did not work for Crean or would she have worked for Archie. She was not a basketball employee, she was an athletic department employee. Archie might have some say on who the new person is but FG will have the final decision. bnkepner, CR3AMnCR1MS0N, Class of '66 Old Fart and 4 others 7 Quote

MartintheMopMan Posted May 26, 2017 Posted May 26, 2017 Is this a good place to ask why so many Indiana towns share a name with somewhere else? Quote
MartintheMopMan Posted May 26, 2017 Posted May 26, 2017 I was thinking the same thing. Appears they ran out of names that end in "field" or "ville" so they pulled out an atlas and went to it: Mexico, Peru and Denver.....not a lot of imagination in 19th Century North Central Indiana I guess.Portland, Kokomo, Brazil, Columbus, Montpelier, Albany, Geneva, Winchester, Syracuse, auburn, Akron, Warsaw, morocco, Monticello, Milan, Versailles, Rockville, and Attica are the ones I think of on top of those. I can't tell you how many times someone told me where they were from and I asked the wrong follow-up because they didn't toss that "Indiana" at the end. moyemayhem 1 Quote

I feel pretty comfortable in saying NOWHERE else has copied the name of the spot-in-the-road where I grew up. Gnaw Bone, Indiana For those who don't know, it is on State Road 46 about five miles east of Nashville, Indiana. ALASKA HOOSIER, Class of '66 Old Fart, IUBBFan1970 and 4 others 7 Quote
