Regarding the signs: RIP Collin is in bad taste (wouldn't expect less from PUkes) and they're missing 3>2.

I think thats due to him being engaged which would be funny but with the way it was made its definitely in poor taste

Take a look at the data since Crean arrived. He definitely deserves benefit of the doubt for 2008-2011 rebuilding from the Sampson debacle. Since 2011 he's 136-66 overall, 62-44 in the Big Ten. Most programs would appreciate those numbers but as IU fans, we obviously don't.

It's really a toss up since he's won 20 games 4 of the last 6 years but that reminds me of the late Bob Knight years when we were excited to win 20 games although also be out in the first or second round of the tournament.

All of this is pretty much boiling to a head since Crean can't seem to string together 20 plus wins per season every season and advance past the Sweet 16 a couple times in a span of 3-4 years. His only Final Four, also IU's last Final Four, in 2002, should be taken into consideration too. Marquette was blown out by Maryland, who IU played well for the first 30 minutes before the better team wore them down. And the icing on the cake, IU beat Kelvin Sampson's Oklahoma Sooners to reach the final.

A little ironic how all of this has played out so far don't you think?

The games vs Southern Tech Tri-County State University don't count in my book. They might've counted in his first year when we had that roster. But Crean is still playing these non relevant schools. If we had a harder schedule this year, in fairness it was a step up from previous years, then we probably don't have more than 12 wins right now.

Give Crean the benefit of the doubt for the first two seasons, but not the third. We shouldn't have been worse in year 3 than we were in year 2.

I lost interest in this once he said Maryland beat Marquette in the Final Four. That was the year of Melo. Not many fans forget that. IU was year before. We played Utah, Wilmington who upset USC, Duke, then Kent State on route to beating OU for the chance to have Juan Dixon crush our hopes and dreams in the title game.

But lets just say you didnt mess that up even though your a Crean fan yet didnt know the info from his only final four, you have to account that 2 B1G titles spike his numbers in conference. For instance if a coach wins 12-14 wins one year and 7-9 the next it looks better than a first place finish followed by the bottom next. I like B1G titles but I could even be okay with not winning one but knowing we had a shot every single year. Consistency is better than highs and lows. The first B1G title he underachieved by losing as a 1 seed in the sweet sixteen and if not for Victor hitting the 3 and C Wats block we lose to Temple that year. Im sorry but I like Crean I do but for IU you have to be better. It is time whether you want it to be or not. Even if he stays and you think you win this argument we all lose by seeing the program we love continue to fall. We could be ranked top 5 preseason every year, but with Crean you still worry if you make the tourney that year. That isn't what a top coach should give off as a gut feeling.

But then you have to look at the schedule. In particular the pre-conference schedule. Sure, there are the sprinklings of Kansas or UNC, but other than those few? Wouldn''t surprise me to see a Barber's College or New York School of the Performing Arts on the schedule.

I feel like adding the fact he had one of the best bigs in the A 10 coming back but he DIED. Not injured DIED. Yet he still has his team playing great!! That says more to me than anything that he can take that kind of hit to his team and still somehow manage to keep young teenagers together to compete and even more chase a conference championship. So we all know Creans excuses yet this guy has had plenty of more legit reasons to fail and doesnt have close to what IU can offer to fix these things recruiting wise and still wins. Good enough? Sorry Archie isn't even my top choice but he deserves to be and we would be lucky to have him.

Was just going to mention this. Really good center from Indiana died unexpectedly of heart issues. That DEFINITELY impacted their team in many ways. Dude can coach and he's a sleeping giant in terms of recruiting. Comes from a GREAT coaching family, played high level D1 basketball (ACC), and made it further in the tournament at Dayton than Crean did in 9 seasons at Indiana.
