WestCoastView Posted February 27, 2017 Posted February 27, 2017 True, Crean has called out some players publicly with more vigor than normal. Probably more of a motivational tactic. HoosierTrav and Yogi's Picnic Basket 2 Quote
WayneFleekHoosier Posted February 27, 2017 Posted February 27, 2017 Trying to promote fair and balanced ideas. If you don't like Tom Crean then name your immediate replacement? And his contract value? Eagerly await your response. Anyone that Knows basketball and can communicate it to his team. Donovan, Marshall, Miller x2, Hoiberg, Holtman, Mack, Few, Alford, Drew, Collins and a whole host of others.Depending on level. 3-6.5 Million. The guy has never taken any responsibility for himself, unless you count his recent "it's not my fault, and here's excuses x, y, and z, but I'm not shaking responsibility" crap. That's not motivation, that's a coward. Quote
Trish Posted February 27, 2017 Posted February 27, 2017 I go to team my AAU team and you guys add 10 pages.. what's going on. Found the new "information" posted by a respectable poster. I'll take it. March 13th, the day IU basketball changes for the better. ALASKA HOOSIER and thebigweave 2 Quote

WestCoastView Posted February 27, 2017 Posted February 27, 2017 Really, pay Alford 3 million? Because he is from Indiana? Yikes! He has millions of West Coast Kids and is barely able to convince players to stay in their own backyards at the historic Mecca of college basketball U C L A! Quote

If you have watched lately it didnt work just made RoJos coach and James Sr furious at him. I do feel like progress has been made tho if your admitting he has done it. I get you like Crean but what did you really expect coming to this thread where we are over 10,000 deep on the guy lol?Sent from my LGLS676 using BtownBanners mobile app Quote

I'm sorry; other than criticizing every other poster's opinion, is there a point to what you're saying? Is the point you're making in the "Fire Tom Crean" thread that we shouldn't fire him?Okay... got it. Yogi's Picnic Basket Posted February 27, 2017 Posted February 27, 2017 He seems to be doing okay though regardless of where their from. Ball, Hamilton, Leaf, Welsh, Ike, with a top 5 class coming in. I dont want Alford but he is doing okay for himself recruiting wise. It is the xs and os that make him less than ideal for us. MoyeNeeded Posted February 27, 2017 Posted February 27, 2017 Collegiate sports generate extraordinary revenue to universities both in public relations and monetary value. Tom Crean has added value to IU since his arrival. Unfortunately, too many Indiana fans' self-esteem is derived only from IU Basketball winning games and participating in March Madness. Hence the unrest and upheaval to fire a good coach. Please remember Bobby Knight was fired by the university for rogue behavior. And for those who say Knight won the "right way" then why did IU let go football coach Kevin Wilson after having the best two consecutive seasons in about 30 years?First off, you need to read up on why Wilson was let go. Secondly, I have a hard time believing that anyone who accepts a bball coach that has a career losing record against every team in his conference with the exception of two during his tenure needs to retain his job. Things may be always sunny with your "West Coast View" but things will remain cloudy and bleak here unless a change is made.Sent from my SM-G930P using BtownBanners mobile app AZ Hoosier 1 Quote
