Well if that happens I won't watch a single game next year or any year after until he's gone.

Seriously, what would change next year. Our biggest need is a playmaking PG, and Tommy has failed yet again to bring one in. His positionless system needs a position player, and either his ego, or his ability, or both have failed us yet again.

He's gone guys. This is all a smokescreen

I agree with this.  Based on reading this and a few other boards, it kind of sounds like IU is wanting to put out conflicting information for fear of things catching on in the national media.

The mere mention of "IU hasn't reached out to anyone" is completely ridiculous and goes against everything that has been accepted as common knowledge for the last few weeks.

I do understand not wanting things to catch on in the national media. Leaks are not really a good thing imo. I would want everything to stay in house as well. But anyone who follows IU knows what's really going on here

I cant wait for this season to end. The media and Crean supporters keep trumpeting 2 conference titles in 4 years. That tired stat is over in a couple weeks. Instead its he has missed the tournament twice in 4 years. Oh but that wont fit their agenda. This free pass Crean gets is the type of mentality that is holding back the program. Fire Crean and move on.

Wednesday was when the Donovan rumors really started flying. Thursday morning, Mile and 0708 both independently said they felt Crean was gone after the season. Then Danny Bridges makes this Facebook post Thursday evening. 0708 just told us yesterday afternoon to watch the news after we lose in the BTT.

I'm calling smokescreen.

Hoping 0708 is kidding because he said that he got information Crean will be extended after the BTT today........if that happens I will be a Butler basketball fan.

0708 also posted this morning that Crean would be extended after BTT. I'm assuming he was joking, but he hasn't clarified.

FWIW. Crean has definitely not stopped recruiting; he was in New Albany last night for the Bloomington North vs. New Albany (defending 4A State champs) to watch Romeo Langford and a guy from BN.

As has been said, he's still (over)paid to do a job and his son plays for BN.

Yeah, was more or less responding to the idea that he had stopped recruiting.

Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't be surprised if Crean is back.  I've said for a while Glass is just a Tom Crean fanboy that is more concerned with what's best for Crean than what's best for Indiana basketball, and probably screams like a 14 year old at a Bieber concert when Crean shows off his Sweet 16 rings.  Plus the administration seems to be about as concerned with IU basketball reaching it's potential as they are about Eastern Western Texarkana State Tech's intramural co-ed softball league.
