I think Alberto has shown a good arm with good zip on the ball, and he’s certainly the more athletic of the two brothers and his legs are a legitimate weapon.

obviously not the size of Fernando at 6’5 but he’s not particularly small at 6’2.

Hard to know the important bits like how he processes the game, can he read defenses, does he know where to go with the football etc. but I’m sure the staff has a better idea of that.

One thing for sure I know is he’ll have a stud WR in Charlie Becker to throw too next year and (hopefully) one more year of Omar Cooper.

I’ll simply say this, this staff has shown they’re one of the best in America at developing QB’s, I’m sure there’s a ton of talented guys who’d love to come here, it really just comes down to how we view Alberto.

Remember when we just wanted a serviceable quarterback? My how things have changed in Bloomington.

Remembering several years ago when IU landed a 3 star running back from Franklin Central (and he was injury prone or had a physical deficiency) but had a good high school career and qb from Martinsville who only seen the field a couple times at IU among others…how a couple recruits were going to change the trajectory of the IU football program…even coaches trying to save their jobs made hopeful comments…..different environment from back when until now.

QB from Martinsville = Earl Haniford in the mid/late 90s?

Anyone know when season ticket renewals are starting?

Really curious what’s going on there. I looked last year and I think I renewed in November.

I’m guessing somewhere between a 50% increase on 2025 and the GDP of Bhutan.

I bet they are trying to figure out if they can squeeze in anymore seats somewhere anywhere.

Hell sell overflow tickets to watch at assembly hall.

String up some hot air balloons for gods sake.

Well, I hope they keep the ticket price increase to 5% or less.  Last year was a big increase plus a reseat, and while I know many people didn't like it, I think was fairly understandable given the improvement in the team.  But don't do two big increases in a row.  3-5% per year adds up fast anyways...

We're about seven months before the start of the '26 season.  As discussed in another thread, it wouldn't take very long to jam another 500-1,000 seats in the SEZ.  I think some seats can be added in the lower corners, but that would be maybe 100 tops and it's unlikely the AD sees that opportunity like I do.

Aside from that, I doubt we see any other changes before the '26 season.  I'd love to see a few more rows added to the top of the East side, but that's probably not happening in the next six months.  I'm no construction expert, but the concrete supports and stuff would take a while.

The big question is when the AD finalizes and has the funding for the next renovation that will be press box, suites, and probably a few more seats.  Maybe Pam can somehow creatively direct some university capital budget to help get this going ;-)

If the tickets only go up a few percent, it means parking passes are gonna double.

Ha, probably.  I can't believe what some people will pay for parking passes.

On that note: If IU ever wanted to add a justifiably pricey tailgate option, I think Woodlawn Field (10th and Woodlawn) would be a great tailgate spot.  It's a little disconnected, but that's probably the best view of campus there is and some folks like a more quiet tailgate.  Would need to add some ingress/egress, but that's a nice spot one can get to with minimal traffic.

I absolutely love the Woodlawn Field idea.
