lol -- Credit to this Minny fan for posting this and getting CFB twitter and LSU fans all fired up. Ragebait as the kids call it!

  2. Rabjohns - Sources confirm what @PeteThamel mentioned — Omar Cooper Jr., who leads No. 1 Indiana in receiving, is expected to be full go for the Rose Bowl.

  3. Latest NAM, GFS, and Euro model runs are much better news for those wanting to stay dry-ish at the game and for the team that can’t run the ball on a front 7 made of BTBers. An absolute soaker on NYE through late morning and then moving out before kickoff.

  4. Just pulled into Gibson’s Donuts (amazing!)- the car next to us had Bloomington plates. Both the driver and passenger were head to toe IU gear!!

  5. Would think so. But, you just know his girlfriend is some girl he’s known since 2nd grade who he helped up after she got knocked down at recess. Now she teaches at some really tough school in Miami and they write one another letters every week. Not e-mails, letters.

Fitzgerald was fired for being the head coach during a team sexual hazing scandal. His last two years at Northwestern he was a combined 2-16 in conference. At Northwestern he had real success for a while, but his recruiting was just okay - when he started winning he bumped to more three star recruits than NW usually got, but it was no revelation. Overall? IMO it is a lousy hire with significant downside.

  8. Was in scouting for not quite 12 years when I got out of college a million or so years ago. Got out of it and into normal life late 90’s and strictly a hobby since then. But the tools available are so good and readily accessible now and combined with this little spot to scribble my thoughts that it kind of feeds my addiction because I absolutely love it.

  9. We open 2026 hosting Washington 8-4 which as Doc Fleek pointed out, it will be a Bryson Tucker reunion game. Another player on the Washington roster with a somewhat IU connection is Franck Kepnang who received an IU offer way back in July 2019 and originally committed to Oregon in October 2020. And as pointed out elsewhere, Washington will be without Wesley Yates their second leading scorer(15 ppg) who had wrist surgery. Tucker after starting and playing 20+ min/gm in their first 3 games, did not play from Nov 9 to Dec 13 (injury?) and has played less than 20 min/gm in 3 games since returning to the court. He's shooting 45% FG, 33% on 3s and 5 rpg. As a team WA averages 83 ppg with a +11 margin. They shoot 45% FG and 33% on 3s. The average 42 rpg with a +12 margin. IU in comparison: 85 ppg on 48% FG, 36% on 3s. We average just 37 rpg. If we shoot the 3 well, we should win but if we're playing the Anvil Chorus, ouch. Radio Live Stats

  11. Luke Altmeyer and his supposed next level offensive line were purty darn confident that they would make plays aganst Haines' scheme. Altmeyer left that game as a beaten mess. Ty Simpson reminds of a slightly better version of Altmeyer, but with an offensive line that is not better than Illinois.

  12. Couldn’t think of anywhere to put this, but here’s the NCAA just continuing to create more exceptions every day. I assume minor league baseball players will be treated the same. Serious question: has NCAA leadership made the conscious decision that they are so irrelevant in the new world order that they want to be bypassed and ultimately dissolved and replaced by some other governing entity? Certainly feels that way.

  16. With Woodson, it didn't matter how much he spent or who he got... he still had the impossible task of "coaching" them. But, yeah, the NBAer who couldn't cut it coming back to college will cause heartburn for some/many.

  19. After 1, Hoosiers lead 18-13. The women did what they had to do in the 1st Q. They shot 6-13 FG and 4-5 on 3s. They grabbed 9 rebounds vs 7 for Minny but more importantly Minny had just 1 offensive board. Lenee 8 pts and Shay 7 in the Q.

  21. Our best 11 on defense are: Kamara, Wheeler, Tucker, Landino, Jones, Fisher, Hardy, Ponds, Sharpe, Ferrell, Moore. Boykin if we want an extra DB against a throw-first team.

  24. I'd bet the gameday crew will pick Alabama except Pat. I am sure the B1G pundits will pick IU. Personally, I want them to keep picking against us. It's worked all year, don't change it up now.

  31. That is SO different!! :) Completely agree; Whittingham is all of those nice things you said about him.

  32. My bad, I was talking about Whittingham. He is a LDS who hasn't gotten in trouble. Fitz at MSU? Maybe some time off gives him a new perspective, but I don't think he is going to put them in the top third of the league, but he could make them respectable

  34. Talented wide receivers.....Pittman is not good. He needs to be replaced badly, but I do like the rest. This season is Steichen and Ballard's "one more season". They're out of those now.
    1 point
  35. They're not getting a top replacement anyway. There are plenty of young football minds who would love the opportunity to become a GM for an NFL team. That's the pool the Colts will be looking at. A successful GM isn't leaving his organization to try and fix the Colts. Letting Ballard have another season would just be another wasted year.

  36. I think Ballard traded away our first round pick for the next two years hoping anyone they ask to replace him would have no interest. The team has some talented wide receivers, a top TE, and a great RB, but not having a first round pick for two seasons is going to hurt. I predict they give both Steichen and Ballard one more season, partially because They may think that they could not attract top replacement at this time. If Jones recovers and stays healthy he can make the team respectable. If Buckner retires the league might give them an extra pick, maybe they get lucky and get a pass rusher? Having said all that, if they take your advice I wouldn't hate it, but I don't think Carlie wants to stick her neck out like that, she will play it safe, let these two have one more season and hope they don't screw things up even worse! I also think Riley Leonard might be a better QB than people think! But he may never get a chance in this organization, and I don't trust them to evaluate talent given their track record!

  37. Reportedly she will be on a UV for our IUWBB New Year's Day noon game vs. Michigan State. Since posting her 7-game stats immediately above, she's played 3 more games with 31p and 5r; 33p and 10r; 14p and 14r.

  39. My wife and I are revisiting our honeymoon spot, Memphis (we’re foodies, not for Elvis lol). We were at Rendezvous for lunch- another guest stopped me. He told me he was a massive Ohio State fan, and was so happy for IU (I had my IU and shirt on), and hoped it was IU vs OSU every year for the title. He found me on his way out, fist bumped me and said “hope IU kicks some @$$”. First time I’ve met a decent OSU guy, and first time I’ve had a positive out of state football conversation lol!!

  40. Dynamic Prep trailed most of the game but took the lead with 2:20 left and never looked back. 69-59 win over Montverde Academy. Turning point was when MVA's Joe Philon fouled out. For the game I had Spears with 9p, 8r, 2a, 3s, 5b, 4t. His 11-game season averages from MaxPreps: 15.5p, 7.6r, 2.5a, .9s, 2.5b. 64% FG, 40% on 3s (2-5), 72% FT. He's really slender and got pushed around inside and his screens left a little to be desired. Couple of his turnovers in this game were where the ball was simply taken out of his hands.

  41. My kid is at a very good, big state school and is getting free tuition, room and board, and I am thrilled. But my kid brings in zero revenue to that school; he merely contributes to bumping up their entry stats a bit, and has a good chance to be a contributor alumnus. An athletic scholarship kid that brings in tons of revenue who would go there for free under the old system would also be getting a great deal, but comparatively would be getting screwed. So both things can be true; that prior system full ride can be a great thing, but still not be a reasonable model for a free market system.

  42. Seth Tow - A little #iuwbb news to go with this story: Australian forward Zoe Jackson, a class of 2026 commit IU already said is joining the team in January, is already in the U.S. and will be on the bench Monday vs Minnesota, per a program spokesperson. She will not dress.
