That rosrter is loaded everywhere with talent. He is arguably the least talented player that plays significant minutes for them

It's definitely a talented roster, but he has great elusiveness, decision making, touch on the ball, etc.

Anyone have updates on Stroud? Today was the last day for underclassmen to declare. And coming in to today he had not. If he doesn’t I’m all in on trading back. This quickly becomes a 1 QB draft

Colts Twitter is freaking insufferable. It’s already taking 1 of the true joy-inducing moments in sports, choosing a young franchise quarterback, and crapping all over it. Full of “Levis is trash”, “Stroud’s a product of his team”. “Young’s too small”. Hell, saw a, “Richardson’s Jamarcus Russell” today. And it’s January. I’ve made a commitment to follow anyone who tweets to the effect of, “yeah, I couldn’t evaluate a college QB if my life depended on it. Just happy to finally be starting over.”

Twitter opinions are just cesspools regardless of the topic

I quit posting on Colts' forums years ago because the cynicism and rage-posting became so unbearable. The Peyton Manning era definitely left its mark on the fanbase...very much like RMK did with ours.

CBS sports has Colts trading up to take Levis #1

I thought the Levis wave would come, but certainly not before the Divisional round has even happened lol.

Levis is the one I can’t really like. Plenty of guys have all the tools. Dude couldn’t beat out Clifford. Then had one good year.

If he is the guy we take I’ll support him. But I just don’t buy the Allen comp

I agree with this so much and think it applies to draft order as well.  Some of my Colts friends wanted to tank for a higher pick.  I always want to win.  I mean, there's no guarantee that a higher pick brings a better player.  A player drafted 2nd overall has a similar success rate to somebody drafted 7th overall.  Just win baby.

Who knows who the next boom or bust will be

That's why I'm not a big fan of trading up for the first pick. You lose an awful lot of draft capital and I don't see a QB who is head and shoulders above the others. I think it's just as likely, in this year's draft especially, that the 4th pick will be as good as the first pick. I'm not sure that trading back to the 10th pick wouldn't be just as good, long-term.

The benefit of trading up is that the GM/staff get who they want so if it goes badly we have them alone to hold responsible and not dumb luck where who they wanted went a pick ahead. That said I do not want to trade to 1 either. I'd be ok with trading to 2 should Hou trade up to 1.
