He’ll have a statue, streets named after him and parade if he retired today. He could ride an 8 win floor at IU and never worry about job security 8 win floor…. Try above 500 ball…6 or 7 win floor. Hovadipo Posted October 12, 2025 Author Posted October 12, 2025 There’s a rumor out there from a radio guy that Adidas pushed for the firing and may even be footing the bill. That’d be a new one, if true. Home Jersey, thebigweave and OliviaPope40 3 Quote
cthomas Posted October 12, 2025 Posted October 12, 2025 Because of his connections to Pennsylvania, Penn State is the one job I worry about. It checks all the boxes in terms of talent and commitment to winning. I don't think Cig will leave but I would not be surprised if he listened to the pitch. PSU has probably already contacted Cig's agent. He would be the perfect guy to fix their problems. 8bucks and Lebowski 2 Quote

Kinda funny that as a WVU and Pitt guy… word is he doesn’t like PSU much, which would make sense. Though of course that doesn’t stop someone from taking a job. I feel pretty good he stays and keeps doing what he is doing here — it’s good pretty well! MemphisHoosier and Home Jersey 2 Quote

Brass Cannon Posted October 12, 2025 Posted October 12, 2025 For people concerned we are going to lose Cignetti. Why would he give up a chance to win it all this year to go to Penn State. Penn State is going to want a guy to start before the transfer window. go iu bb 1 Quote
8bucks Posted October 12, 2025 Posted October 12, 2025 We can probably bump salary for him and the assistants to compete but our NIL budget vs the bigger schools has me more concerned. I also worry our coordinators get poached this offseason to get their HC opportunities. Quote

I know it’s still pre-coach hiring season, but I’m pretty surprised that Haines doesn’t seem to be viewed, at least yet, as a white hot HC candidate. Dude’s about to turn 41 and what he’s doing here has been freaking remarkable. If he was doing this at Bama or UGA there would be a straight bidding war to be his 1st HC job along the lines of Smart and Bob Stoops. I really don’t get it. Pagoda, J34 and 8bucks 3 Quote
