maharkn Posted October 1, 2025 Posted October 1, 2025 Tino Sunseri was just fired. I wonder if Cignetti will bring him back Looks like we had the same thought. Surely couldn't hurt to have to many good QB coaches Sent from my Pixel 6a using Tapatalk Quote
Pagoda Posted October 1, 2025 Posted October 1, 2025 I get the sentiment, but we don’t need two QB coaches nor can we afford it. Whitmer makes $800K plus bonuses so he can handle all the QB duties. I’d guess Tino will find an OC or QB coach co-OC job somewhere else. He’ll be fine, I’d guess most of his ~$1M/yr two year deal with UCLA will be paid out. steubenhoosier Posted October 1, 2025 Posted October 1, 2025 Kinda like the thought that if you have two quarterbacks you have none. Quote

Brass Cannon Posted October 1, 2025 Posted October 1, 2025 Wow and UCLA is about to be the victim of a Penn State beat down. Quote
Hovadipo Posted October 1, 2025 Author Posted October 1, 2025 Without knowing the terms Tino left on (I have no reason to believe there’s bad blood), I could see some sort of analyst role for him while waiting for the next hiring cycle. Definitely wouldn’t be anything on the field, but you can’t have too many good football minds working behind the scenes. MemphisHoosier 1 Quote

Because he was getting a promotion and the opportunity to live in Southern California as a young newlywed making millions of dollars. Why expect sycophantic loyalty from coaches? He'd been with Cig since 2021 and by all accounts left on good terms. If Cig doesn't see it as Tino "didn't want to be part of the Cig movement" seems kind of silly for fans to, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder I suppose. Popular Post eddy4iu Posted October 1, 2025 Popular Post Posted October 1, 2025 My opinion is that bringing Tino back in any capacity would undermine Whitmer in his role as QB coach. Just no good reason to take that risk. Tino will land on his feet and Cig can be instrumental in helping him do just that. - but elsewhere. Rico, MemphisHoosier, hoosierbgh and 7 others 9 1 Quote
