Walking Boot of Doom Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 Watched the RoJo injury replay a few times, and I didn't see any contact with his left ankle. It looked like the contact was higher up closer to his knee or thigh. Not sure what the injury was, although they were examining his ankle in the floor. Hoping for a speedy recovery. We really need him on the floor for us. Quote
biteoftheapple Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 If RoJo has a high sprain, he could easily be out until BTT. Quote
mdn82 Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 "At the end of the day, we are still Boilermakers as opposed to the alternative"The Paint Crew tweeted that after the game. Why yes they are... They will never win a title. Quote
Brass Cannon Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 So who starts with Rojo out. Maybe try Troy at SG and give Max the start. Idk Quote

Walking Boot of Doom Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 Very cool that Troy hit his 1,000 points on five straight - a three, followed immediately by a steal and dunk. IUsafety and WayneFleekHoosier 2 Quote

WayneFleekHoosier Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 My Bro, a podiatrist, suspects intense cramping due to not seeing any ankle roll or twist. However, his reaction was severe and intense. I am keeping my fingers crossed. We need him. colonel06 1 Quote
WayneFleekHoosier Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 Also if it were just cramping I'd guess they would have said so, although all preliminary test may be needed to rule out something worse. Quote
southsidehoosier Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 I'm just taking it as a positive sign that he remained on the bench for the remainder of the game and they didn't take him back to the locker room Quote

I am keeping my fingers crossed. We need him. Watching him try to walk on it didn't really make it look like cramping to me. He couldn't put any pressure at all on that leg. I'm assuming they didn't show that on TV, but could be wrong. Tom White 1 Quote

AKHoosier Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 Did anyone else notice the graphic ESPN displayed early on in the game detailing the history of the IU/PU rivalry? It was hilarious how they pointed out that Purdue won like 42 of the first 50 games in the series, and even the announcer made it clear that the series is way more tilted to IU since World War II. I couldn't help but laugh at that, and there were probably some pretty upset fans in West Lafayette after they discussed that. Quote
southsidehoosier Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 Surprised they didn't also bring up the Purdue Hellmann's mayonnaise title of the 30s pumpfake, ALASKA HOOSIER and lillurk 3 Quote

Two things Purdue fans always cling to when discussing IU: 1) all time series lead 2) more Big Ten titles I doubt we'll ever catch them in the series, but it would be pretty funny if we won a share of the Big Ten this year and tied them in that category. Yeah, and they actually still claim a B1G title the league doesn't recognize because they were forced to vacate it after violations in 1990s. So really, we are tied with them right now. My guess is Hartman returns to the lineup, Troy takes the SG role. Real shame RoJo got hurt, definitely one of his best games and it's shown recently that his health had improved over early int he conference schedule. Quote

Crean said that he was uncertain of the seriousness of the injury or if Johnson would be available at Illinois on Thursday. He was spotted leaving Assembly Hall wearing a protective boot and using crutches. Walking Boot of Doom, Bobman1 and Napleshoosier 3 Quote
