Kansas is looking more and more like it could be the destination if Romeo wants to come in, get PT, and have a shot at a title. He and Grimes are similar players, but I'm sure they would find a way to get them both on the floor.

Boy. Another year a lot of these guys will go undrafted. I remember recruiting Vick when he was a relatively unheard of recruit.

I would not be surprised if it's Kansas. I'd be bummed but at least it would not be vandy. It would also soften the blow if we could get the Evansville transfer.

My read when perusing the Kansas boards was that their confidence in landing Romeo was very much dependent on Vick's (not Newman's) decision.  Makes sense a Kansas insider flipped his pick.

I've read that he's not yet hired an agent, and both he and his mother have stated his intention not to return for his Sr. year. Supposedly per his mom they will worry about hiring an agent later on.

FWIW Kansas I think the only non Nike school to land Nike Hoop Summit kid over past few years. They’ve done it 2-3 times.

I'm not surprised nor am I impressed that Kansas now has just the right amount of schollys available.

The cbb world is (so far) receiving this as a bombshell when it was always a high probability those two players would turn pro. In all the evaluating, visiting, planning, etc the Langfords have done this is likely not an unforseen scenario. I'm guessing it's the one they've already planned for.

Hope it’s not true, but from sound of things Vick likely got smacked  with Uncle Bill’s Creaning stick to make way for R.

Still see him at IU. Only see two advantages of KU. Championship caliber team, and other great players. On the other hand, IU offers the ability to stay close to home. The lure of being an instate legend with an already established personal fanbase. As much PT as he can handle. And most of all, a tough, defensive mined coach that can help with the ONE major flaw in Romeo's game. Experts are saying that defense is his glaring weakness. Still saying he stays home and plays for IU. ROOAAAR!
