JSHoosier Posted December 20, 2015 Posted December 20, 2015 Crean has never nor ever will put s leash on Yogi. TW has sat out games, has not started, gets pulled and some times sits but never with Yogi. Honest question here. When has Troy ever not started a game or sat out games because of his performance? The only instances I remember were because of his off court issues. When it comes to performance, unless I'm missing something, his leash has been a mile long. Quote

bleedhoosier Posted December 20, 2015 Author Posted December 20, 2015 Twice this season. In Maui and I almost want to say he didn't get the start against Creighton? Maui is when his mom flipped her lid and sent a twitter blast because he didn't get to start 8bucks 1 Quote

hoosierpap Posted December 20, 2015 Posted December 20, 2015 Fwiw, TW stated post game that it wasn't a 1-3-1. It appeared to be a matchup 2-3 which led to the confusion as it was more unorthodox. Josh, JaybobHoosier, mamasa and 2 others 5 Quote

biteoftheapple Posted December 20, 2015 Posted December 20, 2015 Thomas needs to aid the pist feeder. With Max he gains his position, sits down in the pist, and calls, no demands the ball. Bryant is more upright and less demanding. Yes, we are a better team with TB, but Max makes the post feed pass easier. MemphisHoosier 1 Quote

Popular Post Trish Posted December 20, 2015 Popular Post Posted December 20, 2015 More thoughts after a day has went by.. -Troy simply can't be our PG, nor should he be allowed to drive into a crowded area. It's come to the point where i have to cover my eyes when he's dribbling. How no coach has fixed this yet is beyond me.16 points in the second half and 10 boards were huge for us. Troy led is back and should continue to be a major key. He has great potential.. but until he can learn how to dribble and play under control on offense, he will continue to confuse me haha. -I don' know what's going on with Yogi, but he hasn't done much of anything the past couple games. Yeah yeah he went for 38 points or whatever, but we were pretty much playing Bloomington South that night. -Thomas has great post moves, i don't know why we don't get him the ball more. He needs to calm down though, him yelling at little Yogi is uncalled for. Teammates fighting with each other is the worst. -RoJo has more NBA potential than James. This kid has taken a "baby" oladipo leap this past summer. Great land by Crean. RoJo is a great 6th man that provides scoring off the bench, which we really need. O.G. - This kid has potential. Showed great court awareness last night, seems to have a good IQ for the game. Excited to see what he does for the next several years. Collin- Huge spark last night, had 8 straight points then got taken out??? He did a great job on the 2-3 Zone. Great game last night. Crean- Was very impressed by Tommy Boy last night. Although he had some questionable subs at times..i was impressed. Great win.. A MUST WIN for the dance. Our B1G schedule looks like a cake walk at first, so we just need to take care of business and grab a couple upset wins and we should be able make the dance. hoosierpap, scots07, Stuhoo and 5 others 8 Quote

Our B1G schedule looks like a cake walk at first, so we just need to take care of business and grab a couple upset wins and we should be able make the dance. in my opinion I didn't think it was a must win for the dance. In the big 10 we still have game against 10 ken Pom top 56 teams( 5 of those against the top 18) and 3 more against fringe top 100 (Nebraska 110, Illinois 116). The committee loves top 100 wins and no bad losses. As of today all our losses our against top 100 teams. As much as I hate rpi that will be the one that matters instead of ken Pom but it's to early for rpi to mean anything. With the notre dame (top 25 ken Pom) win however it gives us some breathing room if we lay an egg in the big ten. It might not seemed at the time but the creighton win is a top 100 win and will look good on our resume as long as they stay in the top 100. IUsafety 1 Quote

Stuhoo Posted December 20, 2015 Posted December 20, 2015 Goodness, I hope they have higher expectations than just making the dance. That should be a minimum every season. It's not that making the dance every season should be a minimum; it should not be. However, we should be making the tournament almost every season, save for that outlier where we are crushed by injuries or unexpected early departures. I'd say nine out of ten would be about right. What is unacceptable is that for the third straight season, we are nowhere near one of the top twenty teams in the country. We should be a top twenty team about 80/90% of the time, and be ranked better than that the majority of the time. IUsafety, BGleas, mamasa and 1 other 4 Quote
hoosierpap Posted December 20, 2015 Posted December 20, 2015 ugh Not all is lost. Bloomington circles have come to the dark side from what I heard. IU's schedule looks like they're set for some wins.
