Walking Boot of Doom Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 I've always said without Davis this class is a bust. I suppose if we pulled 3 upsets to get 5 stars maybe I'd reconsider but really I feel Davis is that important. Plus if he backs away from us that's a terrible signal to everybody else. I love to make gigantic assumptions about recruiting as well. Hoosierboy1980, swatford, Ohreally and 1 other 4 Quote
Brass Cannon Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 I love to make gigantic assumptions about recruiting as well. How bout we stay on topic or at least if you are gonna mock me have the courage to call out something specific you disagree with. Just a thought. Without Davis we have no real talented size coming in next year. You can have all the wings in the world ain't going to help you win without front court talent and depth. Plus he was supposed to be a virtual lock if he goes elsewhere it tells other recruits what he thinks of our program. Quote

Considering McClain was the recruiting lead for DD, and we're still doing very well with him, I'd say there's no reason to fret. Also, one recruit cannot break a class as large as the one we will bring in. I disagree with your entire statement and general view of recruiting. IUsafety and Hoosierboy1980 2 Quote

NoahW35 Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 Would rather have his last visit and have him at Hoosier Hysteria, but maybe the staff is confident they can get a commitment this weekend? Bobman1, WayneFleekHoosier and Prilla the Thrilla 3 Quote
Prilla the Thrilla Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 With no other officials set, I really hope we can seal the deal this weekend. VO5 Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 I wonder if the CuJo commit has any influence at all on this. We have to be more appealing now for Davis knowing that he has a good pg to dish to him. Prilla the Thrilla 1 Quote

Davis is integral to having a balanced team next year. We saw last year the folly of not having a legit set of big men on the roster. If we were recruiting other PFs then Davis wouldn't be such an integral piece but we have essentially put all our eggs in one basket. We have 1 hope for a balanced offense and defense next year Davis. We can get all the guards in the world but this isn't the looney toons where we can just have gelon stand on Cujos shoulders. We need Davis Prilla the Thrilla, NRT137, ebridges24 and 1 other 4 Quote

WayneFleekHoosier Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 yep thanks, so a minimum of 4 spots and likely 6 in reality. 4 are open, 1 or 2 from NBA/Pro, and always a transfer potential. 1.Gelon 2.Cujo 3.Kegler/Bridges 4.Brown/Alkins 5.DeRon Davis 6. Save this spot for Thon or someone like that. Things could be looking WAY up if we can pull off this feat. IUsafety, Parakeet Jones, Hoosierboy1980 and 3 others 6 Quote
