Beowulf50 Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 I know it's a long shot, but I'm going to try to tie a ribbon around this extended argument of offering "diamonds in the rough" and offerring early. The longshots recruits that have turned out fantastic for IU have one quality in common. They all have way way way above average quickness and athleticism. That is why Victor, Will (who was a state high jump champ) and now it appears OG are great finds , and why kids like MSB and others are, well, not quite as great. Durham? "Explosive quickness" is the scouting report. Stuhoo you are awesome! Great comparison! Quote
Miller'sTheMan Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 I agree with Stuhoo that I think this kid just fits perfectly with guards that Crean wants. He's apparently a really good shooter and an explosive athlete. I'm optimistic about this kid but he has to get stronger, which is something that can easily be done. maxwell, lillurk and Kepner 3 Quote

KingPG21 Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 Oh Cody will not contribute much as a freshmen! Why did we recruit a three star from Maryland? Welcome aboard Mr. Durham I hope you work your butt off and go down as a Hoosier legend! No armchair coaches I'm not saying he will do what they did, I'm just pointing out the doubt some on here have had in the past. Who said anything about Cody not contributing as a freshman? I think it is funny how some of you guys go to such extremes to try and make the other side look wrong. Dalton26 and MikeRoberts 2 Quote

I think it is funny how some of you guys go to such extremes to try and make the other side look wrong. People did have low expectations, and he is right about that. Most of it was because they didn't want the insane pressure riding on his shoulders, but there were low expectations! Now, let us ALL step back and take a breather. Let's move on and congratulate a kid achieving his dream. Feel free to start a Crean recruitment thread, but keep name calling out of it! mamasa, Naturalhoosier, Napleshoosier and 4 others 7 Quote

SWEETLEMONbrown Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 Seems to me if we don't land any actual PG's, we could really probably transition him into the Point Guard role. He's quick enough that's for sure. Quote
WayneFleekHoosier Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 Being a full year away as a recruit and with our coaching situation/displeasure, it's hard to fully imagine Durham on our team. So much seems to happen during our off seasons. Not saying anything negative. Just hard for ME to look past 1 year with Crean's teams. Seems to having a solid Jr. year. Stuhoo and Bobman1 2 Quote

Popular Post ccgeneral Posted January 19, 2016 Popular Post Posted January 19, 2016 Berkmar won 79-53 last night. AD had 13. @CarterTuck: Every time I watch Al Durham his point guard skills have progressed. #Indiana commit is making a lot of plays today. @CarterTuck: The best players I saw at BCB MLK Showcase were Al Durham, Chapin Rierson, Kaelan Riley, Devontae Pullins, & Justin Forrest.
