Am I the only one that doesn't understand the Houston?

Wins: Jackson State(0-12), Louisiana(3-10), Hofstra(8-4), Notre Dame(7-5), Butler(7-6), Troy(8-4), Toledo(6-5), Texas A&M CC(7-6)

Losses: Auburn, Alabama and San Diego State. Basically the only 3 teams they've played with anything resembling a pulse.

Probably the way the played in those close losses.   2 of those losses were in OT and the other was a close one to Auburn arguably the best team in the country.   Bama is a legit title contender.   The wins have been convincing.  I don’t think they are as good as last year but for me watching all of their games they still are a top team this year

Haven’t seen a Houston game this year, how’s their guard play been? I thought Shead was the best player in the country last year and probably irreplaceable. Kid was the definition of “the head of the snake”. Just a perfect Sampson player.

They still have Cryer and Sharpe from last year.  They brought in Uzan from Oklahoma to fill in some of the void of losing Shead.  Shead like you said is irreplaceable.  Duke won that game when he went out injured

At this point, don't think they've proven to be a Top team. Obviously way too early for bracketology but their resume is pretty pitiful right now for a "Top 10" team. 0-3 vs Q1 and their Q2 wins are Notre Dame(92) and Butler(71).

I forgot about Uzan. Will be interested to see how that goes. Watched a lot of OU because I really like Moser and it was clear he hated having to play Uzan in tight situations because he just made bad decisions in big moments, but he had no choice. Funny how his guard play has gotten so much better.

Jim Larranaga retiring according to the College basketball media.   Intern coach taking over for rest of the year

Well in this instance he’s being retired. Sounds like this was NOT his idea. But understandable from Miami’s perspective.

Miami's fans are so lucky ... I'm jealous!

Imagine this will be Anthony Grant’s job to say no to.

Miami has lost 18 of the last 22 games he's coached.

He’s 19-25 last season through this one. He’s also the best coach they’ve ever had accounting for half their NCAA appearances, most of their post season wins and their only FF.

If age weren’t a factor he’d surely be getting more time. Might even be partially mutual.

Anyone else see the humor in Larranaga citing NIL as a reason to “retire” when his final four team was purchased for him via NIL?

Wouldn't surprise me. Doesn't make him a hypocrite though.

You can hate the game, but also recognize the reality of what it takes to be successful these days.
