I watched that game and Illinois’ defense was IU at Penn St-level bad. Their communication looked like 5 guys playing open gym. Ole Miss was running incredibly basic sets, and not even particularly well, and getting any look they wanted.

Noah Farrakhan gave us a scare in 2021 though... Put up 18 on us. We only beat Eastern Michigan by 6 in Mike Woodson s first game.

I respect Cross's infatuation with being on all ACC rosters during his career.  Commendable really.

62 - Rice

44 - Malik

19 - Ballo

It’s that time of year again.  Christmas morning for me.   The beginning of a new college basketball season is almost here.   To the new posters feel free to stop in and post in this thread anytime.  There will always be a hoops junkie  in here watching and posting.  To the lurkers who don’t post jump on in here and post.   To the veteran poster who make this thread awesome I can’t wait to experience the buzzer beaters and great games that we are in store for.   Just a heads up this thread won’t turn into a pissing contest between Woody haters and Woody defenders.  This thread runs smooth if IU is rolling and runs smooth if IU stinks up the court.   You got other threads to post that stuff in. It won’t last long in this one.

I kinda miss the old ESPN hoops marathon. 

Whether it was 10 a.m., 3 p.m., 5 p.m., 11 p.m., 2 a.m. or 5 a.m. -- for 24 hours, any time you tuned into ESPN, you got a game. 

Wasn't always Duke vs. Kentucky -- but it was pretty fun nonetheless.

Getting 18 mpg, averaging 9 points and just under 6 rebounds.  That's not too bad.

The bad:  still has a high foul rate and 129 minutes of play has blocked exactly 3 shots.  Have to think he's getting abused on the PNR.

And shooting 58%. He's also not been the Grizzlies worst starter. That goes to Marcus Smart, who has now been out a few games but had been absolutely terrible.
