The Calipari buyout is insane. I have a handful of UK friends and it truly is split; some would rather be mediocre with him than part ways. The buyout + a suitable replacement will hold up any action IMO. Although, if relationship with AD is poor as reported it certainly is plausible. I wonder if this would be Cal's last stop or if he'd move on... to Louisville.

Kensucky just needs to find/manufacture a scandal so they can fire him with cause and without buyout

Doesn't sound like something that would take a lot of effort.

Well, Eric Bledsoe can't spell ACT and Cal somehow got him into college.  Or whatever Kentucky calls a college.

No chance. That dude is smart as hell. He knows where all the bodies are buried and he’d turn that program into smoking rubble without batting an eye. The only way he’s leaving is on his terms and he’ll absolutely get paid.

And that's bad?

Let me know when that place is burning to the ground, I'll bring the marshmallows.

I’m feeling nostalgic tonight.  Time to start the 1987 run before the season starts Monday.   Can’t overlook 16 seeds I hear 35 years after the this game  1 seed falls

Watching the old commercials always brings a smile to my face

Zagoria -

Michigan coach Juwan Howard announced Friday that guard Jace Howard will miss four to six weeks due to a stress fracture in his right knee and tibia.

Unfortunate, but on the other hand, he fills a very similar role to that of Anthony Leal at IU; experienced team leader who only plays in emergency scenarios.

So, his leadership and locker room presence will remain with the team.

Some D3 kid dropped 41 on Minnesota last night. 2 things: 1) Kid is clearly not a D3 player. 2) His teammates almost certainly were and yet Minny couldn’t get the ball out of his hands.

That may not bode well.

We play Minnesota twice. Win. Win.

Johnny Dawkins:

"UCF basketball was going to stink with Antwann Jones, and I see no reason why we cannot stink without him."
