It happens more than people think.   Head to head is just 1 part of comparing resumes.  Where a team finishes in conference isn’t part of a team sheet.

Kenpom has Illinois at #4 and Purdue at #8. Illinois beat Purdue at Mackey, finished second in conference to Purdue at sixth yet Purdue got the higher seed. I guess it all worked out in the end.

While true, kenpom had Illinois at 7 before the tournament started. Can't remember if Houston or Florida held the #4 spot.

Not looking great. I was unsure about this game and just laid a small bet on UConn. But they don’t look like they have too many ways to stop Duke on defense. Scheyer is a dang good coach. Can see why K punted on Collins for him.

For sure and UConn's shooting has been miserable. Mullins has been slumping pretty hard recently. They won't get enough from guys other than Reed and maybe Karaban. Solo Ball is a much worse shooter than he was last year. Really kills UConn

Kenpom keeps stats going during the tourney so a teams number can improve throughout the tourney.   Would need to see where both those teams kenpom numbers were on selection Sunday.   On the true seed list they were 2 apart.   8-Purdue, 9-Sparty and 10-Illinois

Next year I need to take a screenshot of Ken Pom on selection Sunday
