I would love to get a “Bain” type of player on defense….

Oh man, their D line was ferocious. I was a little disappointed in how little pressure IU put on Beck. I know the gameplan was to contain and cover, but as we experienced, a great pass rush is so disruptive. I imagine a guy like Bain could name his price.

Yeah I saw that so who is our back up now ? Just checked the list unless this list on ESPN is not accurate Grant Wilson is showing SR    and Bell and the Maverick guys are FR and I only  saw Hoover as far as QB  but we need a good back up I recall one year we went through QB pretty quick

Is Tyler Cherry still around?

The fact that the staff thinks enough of Tyler Cherry to make him a quasi-grad assistant during his rehab year makes me think that the staff thinks that Tyler Cherry could be worthy of consideration as the #2 QB.

We will find out on September 5, 2026, in the second half of our next game.

So does the family.

USF is not nearby to the Mendoza family at all.

A short plane ride once you're in the air, but to do that you've gotta deal with the abomination that is Miami International.

More realistic? Coral Gables to Tampa/USF is about a 4.5 hour drive, but only if you time it to avoid Miami traffic..

It’s not going to be easy for ANYONE to follow F Mendoza and this championship team.  I’m sure Hoover is competitive, but he’s stepping into some big shoes.

Yeah I get that and I already  think this one was one of those magical years . I mean if we can just stay with the chance to get back to the cfp   I mean we don't even know what  the new team looks like  yet .

IU appears to already have a solid team for next year. But no matter what happens in the future, nothing will be like this season. You always remember your first! This team is so endearing and unexpected, it will be impossible to replicate. Not that I am against trying!

Was listening to Neuheisel and Childers on Full Ride on SiriusXM this morning and they were talking about Cig and the portal... they were questioning if Cignetti had missed on any portal get. They could not come up with one miss, and I couldn't, either.

only "misses" were guys that transferred here--- Makaii Jackson, 2 or 3 guys last year-- only two plays 4 games-- and then portal again.

It's not a guessing game.

I don't think he fits the conversation they were having... someone we GOT, that didn't work out, or that wasn't a good player/contributor.

Can't keep coverage for 10 minutes though, someone will get open. Beck had time to take a nap, go through Snapchat, use the restroom then come back and still go through his reads.

…..I know this isn’t recruiting, but was I the only one who saw Miami holding? I mean, I’m sure we held some too, I but I felt I Miami was holding often.
