It makes me sad to think how Mgbako / everyone would get yelled at for shooting 3s last year.

... or that those guys had to go through multiple years of really bad coaching. I feel for those guys...

Sorry to be a downer, but that really sucks, especially when we consider what could/should have been.

But back on topic, looks like DeVries has the guys playing hard and having fun.

I thought Sisley was good watching him at Montverde. He’s better.

I can’t believe how good of a shooter he is. Not for a big but for a freshman. He’s been a dead-eye from deep in all these exhibitions.

I’m sort of excited for the Baylor exhibition. Last night did nothing to dispel fears of how we hold up athletically especially on the defensive end. Most of the scouting seemed accurate. I don’t have a ton of worry over guys like Alexis and Conerway. But Tucker, Wilkerson and Bailey are gonna have to be at least serviceable team defenders.

Absolutely. Baylor game is going to be way more interesting, but yesterday was fun.

Baylor is also basically a brand new team and "moneyballed" their roster too. KenPom has their roster rated 17 I think. Have some really good wings. Tounde Yessoufou was a 5 star guy expected to start, gets compared to a more polished Lou Dort offensively by one of their 247 guys. The same 247 guy says he may be a better college player than Edgecomb, but not as much upside. They've gotten bigger at the guard position. Baylor represented Team USA vs. Brazil in the FISU Games in July and lost 94-88 in OT. Their PG Obi Agbim had a big game, but Brazil was able to rattle their guards pretty well so we'll see if we can do the same.

Gonna be a real test.

This preview of the Baylor team is a decent listen:
