i know I am being greedy but after reading the Hoosier Illustrated article that had coach Devries talking about having depth at the shooting positions but can you imagine an offense with

Tucker Devries

Luke Goode

Braylon Mullins

Ryan Conwell

Jonathan Powell

Trent Sisley

Of those, I do not think Mullins is realistic at this point. Would take something drastic, like Luke Murray getting hired away. Which is still plausible but unlikely.

And now there are two!

  1. Trent Sisley, Fr. -- F
  2. Tucker Devries, Sr. -- F

Did I miss Dallas James entering the portal?

He is out of eligibility I think

He didn't play a second this year so he could get a redshirt if he wanted since he hasn't used his redshirt year. He also has a season where he played only 8 games so if Goode can get a waiver he should be able to as well.

Anyone predicting Tucker as the last man standing needs to take a bow.

I mean what are the odds he stays? I still say very low but they've risen astronomically from 0%.

I stated that Goode and then Tucker were the two worth pursuing for the Devries era.

Does that count?

It’s not IU or Bloomington that Tucker had a problem with; it was the coaching staff. Talented player- smart and analytical.

Predicting.. not necessarily, but I mentioned Tucker is the only one I'd have a convo with... and possibly Malik, the rest I'd would have told to get lost.

What if they weren't ever 0%?

Close, maybe a head nod rather than a full bow. And, yeah, kid’s gotta be looking now and thinking new HC, open system, massive available minutes and that that has to, at minimum, be giving him pause.

When Tucker committed I thought he seemed like the type of kid who would go to Duke in the '90's or 00's -- good player and smart/academically inclined (I know that's not all Duke players...).  I didn't know why he was coming here to play for Woody, or why he was looking so hard at G-League Ignite before that.  Both didn't seem like the right fit.

I know there were some rumors he and his family may have been difficult this year.  If true, not great, but I can't discount how bad things could have got in Woody's program as you said.  Maybe his sit down with CDD went well and there is a chance here.  It would be great if CDD/Bryson could make it work.

He was pretty much literally the only potential returnee that was disloyal to the fired coaching staff.

He clearly chose to shut it down rather than playing mop up minutes for our **** show last season.

Watch this interview and tell me that he isn’t a cut above in maturity for an 18-year-old:

That having been said, the odds are still against his return

Yeah, given the circumstances here you could argue that he’s de facto transferring without having to move his crap.
