Wouldn't seem like an easy get BUT apparently Maryland's AD is about to move on to the SMU job which could handicap Maryland in keeping Willard. Trilly is saying he is NOVA bound RaceToTheTop, mamasa and MemphisHoosier 3 Quote

Could simply be a matter of timing where Maryland is in a bit of transition bringing in a new AD and they aren't able to get their ducks in a row to counter what Villanova will offer. Maybe Maryland can bring back Mark Turgeon. LIHoosier, mamasa, IU5355 and 3 others 1 5 Quote

Hoosierfan1901 Posted March 20 Posted March 20 Looks Willard is pretty much leveraging UMD to fund more basketball resources before their AD ditches. Guessing if they don’t meet his demands, he is gone. https://x.com/terrapins247/status/1902814366048600089?s=46&t=0mbJ_TT4MQ8KZKv29ZqhSg RaceToTheTop 1 Quote

RaceToTheTop Posted March 20 Posted March 20 Apparently a civil war breaking out in the West Virginia search.....there are still Bob Huggins loyalists who won't accept anyone not associated with him in some way. Sounds like Jerrod Calhoun is likely going to be the guy because he is going to be the only one that is accepted by the loyalists and the other side which just wants a good coach. BannerVille 1 Quote

Nobody really wants to move as evidenced by all recent searches, it's up and comers, or reclamation projects. That's why there was a serious freaking discussion about Brad Brownell Quote

Winning games in the tournament is also something I don't like. JF87, tkbbn, Home Jersey and 1 other 1 3 Quote
