What will this guy post when WVU hires McCollum , who is not “a Mountaineer” and leaves Drake for a better opportunity and more money? Yea, I caught that too, though $17M is IUBB's operating budget, basically all the expenses except the players. Yet another advantage at IU -- lots of money for assistants, recruiting travel, etc. IvanRenkosillegitimatechild and str8baller 2 Quote

In these searches when does assistants and support staff usually get announced? Also what players does anyone want back next year. I’d be curious if Rice would succeed in a DeVries type of offense. Obviously he didn’t in a Woodson style of offense. Quote

Did Hovadipo, Uspshoosier, Old Fart, Dalton, Stromboli, Fort Wayne Hoosier, Crimson and Cream, LiHoosier, or Demo vouch? To me that would be truly meaningful. For instance, I post a lot, but during the entire coaching season, there was one poster who I thought had credible inside info that I stuck my neck out for… @westgym. There are others that have access; many of them are wonderful posters and really good people, but when a mod endorses inside information, that is a rare and pretty ******* notable occasion. And now I’m done with this topic. Yeah, I don't remember who it was... but I get what you're saying... good enough for me... moving on. Quote

HoosierInParadise Posted March 19 Posted March 19 You guys have lofty expectations. I just want DeVries to put together a team that can not get whipped in Lincoln, Iowa City, and Evanston in a single season. Can he do that? Can I add value the basketball, make free throws, and play gritty defense? Hardwood83 and lillurk 2 Quote

I don't think Dolson had a specific target in mind leading to the Woodson decision, rather he realized (like everyone else) Woodson simply wasn't going to be viable moving forward. DeVries isn't going to have many people picking IU to contend right away, but with his son coming with him he's a few transfers away from being able to build something. I wouldn't say I'm excited, but I'm certainly not angry. jonz44 and JPCIVOP 2 Quote

cbp4iu Posted March 19 Posted March 19 I might be in the minority but I think we will have a top 15ish team next year. WVU was close to making it last year. If Goode gets another year and you add a solid core from the WVU team… Then add 3-4 more players in the portal I think we could have a top 3ish Big Ten team and top 15ish team. Gotta have some things go our way but I truly believe we can have a team that’s a top 5 seed team next year if the bounces go the right way in the portal. lillurk, Pagoda and JaybobHoosier 3 Quote

Popular Post Stuhoo Posted March 19 Popular Post Posted March 19 1. Called Stevens to make sure. 2. Would have loved Dusty, who wasn’t leaving UM after one year. 3. Gauged interest from Otz-nope. 4. Gauged interest from one of either Drew or McCasland—they were not moving for anyone. The fifth choice? Also the numero uno top choice that was realistic and had any intention of leaving their current position. jonz44, Jeff Flabjohns, mark1981 and 15 others 17 1 Quote

I guess it depends on how much of their revenue share other schools are committing to men's basketball. IU's NIL was already very high. Revenue sharing is capped at $20.5M with a large chunk going to football and some of it needs to go to women's sports. I agree that about $2M of revenue share seems low, but we'll need to see how much it ends up being and how that compares to other schools. That said, I think that $7M would already have them up there just like they were with NIL. Edit: Old Farts post make sense that it's $7 in just NIL then more after rev share. I read it the same way you did. Pagoda 1 Quote
