Let's be honest.  We had a weak non-con schedule; had some godawful big losses and how many games did we literally lose in the last couple of minutes.  It truly is pitiful that the best we could do was a 10-10 conference record when the conference as a whole wasn't that strong.  IMO, it's our own damn fault and we should never have in the position of having to wonder if we're going to get in or not.

Maybe I missed it but it seemed half the questions/comments to the 2 from the committee were congratulatory on completing the bracket. I mean Seth had a good example for IU with our record vs UNC and they did not bring that up directly. Soft questions.

Don’t put yourself in that position to be a part of a human element.  Best suggestion I got as this is a discussion every year.

Getting your doors blown off year after year in premier non-conf matchups starts to affect how seriously you’re taken. Who knew?

They didn’t because there isn’t an explanation. It’s not a conspiracy. It’s just that they won’t embarrass the committee. Most of the people on it are not bright enough to understand the metrics they touted. That’s how you get a bunch of amateurs who are into stats and predicting (ie “bracketologists”) who look at the supposed criteria and say “okay x, y, and z should happen” and then be totally wrong. You can’t blame the people looking at the criteria honestly. You just can’t predict what a group of morons will do with any certainty.

Wow, all they can talk about on ESPN in picking UNC is SOS and WAB.  I get WAB, but what good is SOS if you win 1 game of the games that give you that SOS?  Would feel better if they won like 3-4 more Quad 1’s and lose one of the Quad 2’s.  To sit up there and act like 8-0 in Quad 2 is a great stat and determinant of them making the NCAAT is absurd.  Again, when the UNC AD is the chair, that is not a good look.  IMO.  Not even from an Indiana slant.  I felt WV had a better case over 2-3 teams.
