As for me I started on the old IndyStar board under a name I can't even remember. I posted some at Peegs under my initials. I've posted here and on HSN for years under my current name. I usually just read here more than I post, but that's because this board.moves so much faster that by the time I catch up.on a thread, what I would have to say has generally already been said by someone else, usually one of the smarter posters. :).

This goes back, but anyone remember governmentcheese? He kept us mods on HIGH alert with his late night drunken posts. They were absolutely hilarious and made no sense, but they made us earn our zero dollar paycheck.

Started out on the old ESPN boards.  User name of brumdog44.  Posted for years there until the boards completely broke down -- they always used community moderators and there were certain boards/teams where the moderators ban hammers got way out of hand and boards started to get flooded with spam.  ESPN discontinued the boards.

Then moved over "Our Hoosier Board" which mainly consisted of posters IU posters from the ESPN boards.  User name of brumdog45.  There was a separate forum there for Purdue posters but IU posters made up about 90% of the board.  Posted there a ton -- had the most posts of any poster but left when the board started dying down.

Since joining BTB, I've had two user names -- brumdog45 was my initial user name, changed it to RaceToTheTop when Race Thompson left the portal and recommitted to IU.

I think I might have a user name on the free board of Peegs but I never posted there.  I read some posted at HSN but that board doesn't seem to have as much activity as BTB.

I started out on ESPN as well. Got banned A LOT. Which was very easy. So I had a lot of names but I think two I remember... It is X-y not X-e and then had a name that incorporated Yogi somehow. Can't remember all my other names. Crazy enough, I still keep in touch with some SEC guys I met there even after a decade+. Remember typing away all the time in the computer lab in high school. I think I started getting on like 2010 during my Junior year. My senior year was Zellers first year on campus. And I think the following season was the last year ESPN had comment sections before moving to Facebook.

From there I went to a website that one of the SEC dudes created(Arky fan and a code guy). Also went to CBSSports on Parrish's Top 25 and 1 page. Still keep up with people from that website as well which is always neat.

I've never really been on any other Indiana boards but I like this place(which I've also been banned from multiple times lol). But all in all, I think I've been on BTownbanners for getting close to a decade.

Also got banned from InsideTheHall during the Crean days.

ITH provides useful info.  But I have been banned forever.  Told them, back when, that some of their writing was pablum for the masses.  Just say the IU party line why don't you?    Oh I feel really bad about it, not.

Cbssports used to have a really active national board during the Mike Davis days.  I was IUin2000 back then.  I really thought 2000 was going to be our year as Coach Knight said.  Just get Kei Madison and we're set!  Then...well...I don't like talking about it.

It imploded, so I went to Peegs for a while.  Became a staple on the OTF as bigjoshstudd.  Fought a mod called IUT (no idea if he still exists) and moved around a bunch.  Discovered CCGeneral (RIP) who invited me over here.

Now I'm your problem BTB.

I've got to say, the group of mods on this site are easily the worst in the history of modding.  Waaaaay overpaid, probably started covid, definitely shot JFK.  Good luck with this group.
