College fans are going to learn what NBA fans do in free agency. Bad teams have lots of mediocre players who put up points.

I am not saying that is Carlyle necessarily but the fit here is rough. Whatever he was doing to score points at Stanford isn’t translating over.

He was a volume guy at Stanford with not super efficient numbers. I do think he’s a pretty good on ball defender but he’s more of a slasher and we clog the lane too much for that

Glad I missed it. For years we talked about apathy setting in. It’s set in.

Same. Something came up for work. I could’ve moved it but I didn’t bother. Heard some of the game on the radio and saw a few possessions at lunch.

I’m close to where I was at the end of Crean/Archie where I rarely watched.

Not just this game but this era of IU basketball can get these kinds of results with $100 (hundred dollar bill) of NIL money at a place like IU.

We have needed fresh young approach for several years now. This is not getting any better. We need an energetic, firey coach with drive and coaching experience in NCAA…

When you have players in your huddle trying to fire the rest of the team up because of poor play, there’s a big problem.
What a way to start Thanksgiving!

Well, you know AH 1971 said they’re gonna shoot much better since the sophomores now and they’re wearing IU jerseys.

Well, you see, if you ignore all the misses today... they were very efficient.

And if you ignore the TOs... hard to tell where exactly things went wrong today.

It's all a mystery.

*glances at Louisville's completely new roster*

"it was hard to prepare for Louisville because they are so different than last year".

“And Kenny Payne not their coach anymore he was a layup.”

Will somebody please convince me that Kanaan Carlyle is good at basketball?

No.

He had been good defensively (until today).  But offensively, he offers nothing....in particular, he will offer nothing the way Woodson plays him.  He was much more of a two level guy at Stanford but in this offense the inside is so clogged he can't drive.

But I'm sure Woodson promised him a starting spot so this is what we are stuck with even if getting him coming off the bench could get him going.
