Basically Woodson asked Adam to separate Anthony Leal and Trey Galloway in the locker room by moving their lockers and he refused, he said they're sixth year seniors and he didn’t want to do that. Adam did eventually do it though. Woody and Howard didn't talk for three weeks, when Adam pressed him on it Woodson blew up and said that he talks and shares too much with recruits and they got in an argument. Woodson also never got over Adam almost leaving to coach with May before Woodson came up with an official job for him. Woodson felt he wasn’t loyal.

I’m willing to assume this is correct as far as it goes but it feels…..incomplete.

Oh good some self-inflicted drama to distract the team at the start of the season. (eye-roll)

It's this years Taco Bell incident...

Seriously, though, the common denominator is Woodson and his massive ego. Sure, for the time being he's the boss, but his fragile ego is a big problem. He's petty, vindictive, and arrogant.

A lot of us speculate what happened but do you have proof?  Many of us post things on this board without actual proof and we get thrown under the bus for it.  If this is the actual truth, Woodson is a petty petty man!!!  IMO, he fired Fife and that wasn’t a good reason as well.  IMO, it will just add to the fuel to Fire Mike Woodson!

In my little corner of the world, the fire already has plenty of fuel... it's a raging inferno...

If true, Woodson is extremely petty, which I suppose isn’t too shocking considering what we saw with the Dane Fife situation.

But Howard is extremely young, he shouldn’t really be challenging a head coach during his first “big boy” job on the college level. Being let go isn’t an ideal highlight on a coaching resume a week into the season.

Future potential employers will see Woodson's name associated with the event and will understand.

There’s probably more. I do know Adam had grown frustrated with some of the recruiting and Woodson wasn’t a fan of that either.

Not a fan of the guy doing the leg work also having an opinion? Shocking.

If we lose Walsh before CMW I'll be pissed!

Word is that Walsh was seeking his same position, open at Ohio State over the summer. Didn’t get it though. (He’s from Ohio).

Wow just so petty I mean Adam did do what he was asked to do and then Woodson just has a meltdown.

So absolutely petty. Par for the course. Separate Leal and Gallo because they aren’t focused? Whatever the reason, it’s petty. I always want to give Woody the benefit of the doubt but man……

We do not really know all that went on.  If, in fact, what was posted is correct...and a staff member is not doing what the head coach insists to do, and is talking outside of bounds with recruits...   That does not seem petty to me.

Do fans remember what happened about 6 years ago with locker-room issues?

And was Dane Fife really "let go" (/s) for talking out of school to recruits about politics?

Just because Coach Woody isn't embracing LEO...and may be more of an autocrat...  Thinking Lombardi, RMK, ...

Well, I am keeping my powder mostly dry because I haven't really a clue about any of this.

I am also not sure if some posters have agendas and just have to let us know they are not happy.   And some of them are not really related to Indiana sports.

Not disputing the reported reason for Howard's dismissal at all, but there's one thing I don't understand: Why would Woody want Leal and/or Gallo to change their lockers? Am I missing something? I don't get it.

He just likes to show he’s in control.

He’s jealous of the success of IU football, he’s not the “talk of the town”. He won’t be in control until cig either retires or basketball wins a national title lol

Especially after they publicly kissed his keister at last spring's senior night.
