As for Enright if he is brought in to be the backup PG and plays 15 mpg then he would be a great fit. I don't think he will be brought in to be the starting PG so there shouldn't be a big argument with him.

Jordy might not have a spot on the new staff but his former school is getting a new volleyball and girls basketball player. DDV is at Bloomington South, meeting the administrators and coaches with his wife and daughter.

I figured we would here more about the coaching staff by now. I am hoping if Frazier doesn't get the WVU he follows DDv to IU.

I agree. I thought we would have heard more names by now. I think it's because they are either in the running for a head coaching job or still coaching in the tourney.

Hopefully it won't take long for Goode to get his answer to if he gets another year.

15 scholarships next season, recruit as if he gets denied but save a spot for him just in case

Listening to Osterman on a podcast the other day and he said you still only get 13 full scholarships. The roster limit is at 15 which means you no longer can have 5-7 walk ons any longer. He stated that the last few spots could be provided with partial scholarships like baseball does. You can't sign 15 scholarship players to full rides.

Preston > tourney

Frazier > wants WVU job, seems like it’s going to hodge though

Adams > TBD

Barnett > in running for oral Robert’s job

i think that covers it from what I’ve gathered.

also saw rod Clark’s name floated and he’s also in the tourney

Im curious about this 15 number I keep hearing.  No way coaches are going to use 15 spots are they?  Only way to use it effectively would be to redshirt about 3 players every year and very few are interested in that.  Seems like its a good way to give 2-3 walk-ons a scholarship officially.

Point still remains but that is interesting!

This answers my question better and makes sense

Look at my above post because you still only have 13 scholarships to give out

Most wouldn’t recruit 15, a lot teams didn’t even do 13 this year haha

Well, no matter what, it looks like the roster is going to be significantly different next year, which is a good thing. I'm glad to see that DDV isn't necessarily worried about trying to keep the roster somewhat entact. That was obviously one of Archie's big problems.

He seems like a big culture guy, which is exactly the opposite of what Woodson was, so there's zero chance that the majority of the guys on the roster are going to fit his vision of what the team culture should be. The number of 15+ blowouts are evidence of that.

I'm all for him blowing up the roster and starting over. Even if it's not a Sweet 16 team next year, I'm fine with that. Build up the culture of the program. I want a consistent, long-term winner, not a short-term, one-year success. I know with the portal you can hypothetically do both, but if there is a question about whether you have more pure talent or a better culture in year one, you go with a better culture and slightly less talent and win a few less games.

With 15 roster spots there isn't much risk in waiting if needed. If the NIL and rev share numbers we're seeing are even accurate, a full scholarship wouldn't even be needed, just up those numbers enough to cover what the scholarship would've.
