It seems like Burton doesn't fit Sampson's Cougars.  But remember he did have Hollis Price at Oklahoma.  He was like 6'-1" and a 170 lbs. soaking wet.

Nice pull. I forgot about him.

6/10. I'm not sold on Olsen as a starting B1G PF. As someone else said, that sure feels like Tucker 2.0. Is Estrella a significant talent increase at C? IUBB had 99 problems, but Alexis ain't one.

A lot will depend on who ends up at the other spots. Is Dorn starting at 3, will there be a competent back-up C & PG?

I wouldn't panic at that list for certain, but Olsen is not an encouraging start, IMO. I felt the same about Bailey last year.

As underwhelming as Tucker was last year, Tucker would make Olsen look like a JV player. Tucker had a decent handle who could facilitate from the point and still rebounded at a decent clip despite being undersized. Olsen gives you nothing offensively other than shooting and his defensive metrics are about as poor as it gets.

If Olsen is starting and playing big minutes, I would agree. I am sure everyone knows more than the staff, but I am going to give them the benefit of the doubt this time and hope they understand this as well.

Olsen

Burton

Brumbaugh

Dorn

Without knowing the rest of our team. I guess I would be fine but would like the rest of our scholarships used on younger players after that.

Burton isnt a SR

We need a deep dive into our philanthropist pockets to gain momentum and get the class balancing figured out this season.  Spend 20-30 mil this year and think about budgeting later.

Took Dusty 5 years to get it going at FAU, but after that we can see what he is doing with the right funding behind him.  Hope DDV can do the same.

What really helped was Dusty having such a productive and confidence-inspiring year one at UM. The pocketbooks opened thereafter as proof of concept was achieved.

Yeah, it'd be interesting to know what he spent on that first roster..

Donnie freeman a new name to know. Seems like ALOT is going on in the background. Seems intentionally quiet to me. Let’s see how everything plays out

Woah, that’s a B1G frame and skillset.
Him, Estrella, Olsen, Sisley, our Euro big would be a really solid front court.

I’ve been wondering why his name hasn’t been mentioned….

When one adds up all of these players and the ones that nobody knows about, but are truly viable?

We're gonna need a much bigger roster.

If we are counting on Olson to be more than a 6'8" Matt Roth, we're in trouble. I don't have a problem with him as last guy off the bench, but it feels like you could sit on his commitment for a while given Sisley is already on the roster.

We need bench players too. Get him on the roster so it’s one less spot to worry about. He likely isn’t costing a ton either.

6'8 Matt Roth literally, is at least, the 9th guy on EVERY team in the country.
