I'm not straying into a state comparison here kiddo. Again, I lived in Indiana long enough to know that "Indiana is a fantastic place to live" is nonsense lol

Where do you live?

Yeah we're not doing this fella lol again, I stated my opinion that it's a difficult sell to recruits, you don't like it, fine. We're not turning this into a dick measuring contest

Finally. You said it was an opinion. Happy Sunday. Let’s get some recruits.

Not saying this account knows anything. They are right money is part of the game today. This is the biggest payday for most of these kids and they’re going to make them count. Just good business for a guy like Wilkerson to take visits before committing. Maybe Conway and Dix were never going to come because of family stuff anyway or we weren’t willing to pay them a mind blowing number to steal them… that’s fine. But we shouldn’t be afraid to spend what it takes to land Wilkerson. IMO

I have a buddy that works with Ryan Conwells dad and he talked to him about his visit. The only negative thing his dad said to him about the visit was that IU didn’t yet have a staff in place when they visited.  After talking to him,  his opinion was that Ryan was going to Louisville all along.  Also, in case anyone didn’t know, his parents are Purdue grads.

Wow...thanks for sharing the info. So at least, coach D wasn't a negative factor. I'm sure after this recruiting period, coach D will have a better foundation to build and have some continuity. This recruiting period, I think, would be an uphill battle because (1) IU itself hasn't been relevant for many years (2) cupboard is still bare (3) for so many of our targets, we're competing against other programs that just had some or pretty good results in the recent tournament and (4) while IU has about 10M to assemble the entire team, a lot of other programs already have many returning players and only need a few high impact players so they can possibly offer more than IU.

My expectation for next season is to win 20 games and make it to the big dance, then I'll be happy.

Lived there for 25 years, I know exactly what that state is and isn't. More power to you if you find those areas to me massively impressive places to live but recruits and professional athletes don't seem to agree with you

For a guy who drives through Hamilton county every day you see a lot of prosperity that is in Indiana. Just drive through Carmel or Geist and you see a lot of mansions that Colts and Pacers live in.

I also see a lot of retired players that played for the Colts and Pacers who stay in Indiana once they retire.

This isn't it lol

Jasper, Columbus, Hendricks Co, Hamilton Co, Hancock Co... Evansville

All considerably nicer places to live than Bloomington.

Not spent much time here?

Did you intentionally leave out Boone county on your little journey around the northern half of Marion county?
