Not trying to light everyone’s hair on fire, and in no way saying this is actually the case, but… seeing Conwell, a kid from Indy, choose Louisville over IU when money was probably roughly equal (have a hard time imagining we’d let ourselves be beat there) and presumably he’d have even more carte Blanche of the offense here… it makes me think about Ballo’s video at the end of the year talking about fans sending death threats and what a poor light that put the fanbase in. The fact players should ignore chirping on social media aside, think it would be silly to pretend they don’t take notice of comments like that. Again in no way saying that’s the specific reason for anybody passing on IU but eventually perception becomes reality and instead of seeing all the good stuff, outsiders can get hung up on if they want all the trouble that comes with it… JMO

Id take a DDv coached team of Enright/Tucker/Dix/Hansberry/filler over whatever we had last year but damn that’s underwhelming.

I think this is a very poor excuse. Read the comments to any school after a loss. I’ve seen death threats to UK recruits when they’ve chosen other schools.

I don’t hear UK players complain about it to the media like Ballo did. That doesn’t get covered like Woodson’s farewell tour, hashing out how poorly the fans treated him lol

Losing Conwell stings…and to Louisville of all places after literally picking up Woorley 24 hours earlier. Man oh man that is a bummer. Louisville might arguably have the best backcourt in the country next year.

Guys relax....Ryan Conwell is not bigger than the program. He isn't the savior. Yes, he's a really good player from an hour away. Would have LOVED to have had him. It sucks to lose him. There is going to be way more out there. Let's also keep in mind Indiana already has probably one of the top guys in the portal with Tucker. 

What I'm most excited about going after players like Conwell/Dix is this: We finally have a coach after 8 years who values shooting the ball. Let's see how things look in a few weeks.
