Dix is a plus athlete that happened to have played for Fran. No reason to think he couldn’t be a plus defender.

He did not have a good DefRtg this year or really any year. Now, did the team dynamic attribute to that? I'm sure it did and I'm sure he's capable of improving but I'm not certain on being a plus defender.

Or Goode can come off the bench.  I think they are planning on him not being here as they should.

Goode is coming off the bench in almost any scenario. Last year for a solid Illinois team he played 20mpg off the bench and was a known def liability.

Go get a Cardwell (Auburn) player haven’t had one since Darryl Thomas 86 or D Thomas (Sampson recruit and player). 
 

Go get a bully point guard who plays defense, gets us into sets, and is a pass first point.

Add more Hoosiers to the roster.

I don't know, in a perfect world you could have Dix, Goode, and Conwell rotating around for each other.  Bring in a dynamic PG and use Goode to play the 2/3 as a reserve and maybe sell Conwell on starting 2 with backup 1 duties.  Then have Devries as your 4 with Sisley as his backup and then go get a couple of 5's and you have a nice rotation IMO.

Anyone putting Goode on your scorecard I hope you're using a pencil.  If I were DDV, I'd put about a 5% probability that Goode's waiver will be approved and I'd be filling my roster on the assumption Goode won't be on it.  There's enough scholarships available that if it is approved, he can still have a spot on the team but to recruit expecting Goode to be available would not be smart IMO.

I'd also use a pencil on Flory Bidunga.  In his initial recruitment Auburn was reported as the clubhouse leader until he picked Kansas at the end.  Sounds like Auburn is going hard at him a second time.

Final comment.  April 3-10 is an NCAA Dead Period.  It is not permissible to make in-person recruiting contacts or evaluations on or off the member institution’s campus or to permit official or unofficial visits by prospective student-athletes to the institution’s campus.

As he mentioned in his introductory press conference “ as we move forward and build a roster and roster construction, we want plenty of depth in the shooting areas because I think you can’t win if you don’t make shots. That’s a huge priority for us”

thus the fact he’d take both I think has nothing to do with Goode. He wants lots of shotmakers.
