Like I said I'm no insider just happen to know a little more in this particular situation randomly. But really again you can put two and two together about who pushed so hard for IU to sign guys like Rice and Carlyle over Mid-west/ Indiana connected guys when you look at assistants where they are from then look at where guys Rice and Carlyle are from . It shouldn't be too shocking Regardless it was a trash system for some like Conwell and he made the right choice. No one that is a stud 3 pt shooter is going to voluntarily sign up for a system that was in the 300’s on attempts and makes. Every school competing against them was always going to show the data. Doesn’t matter now. IU has a new coach partly because of it NVFalcons1990, thebigweave, go iu bb and 2 others 4 1 Quote

My opinion he isn’t a starting B1G guard. He is a dog on defense and one of those guards other fans will hate however offensively he can get out of control and is a streaky shooter. Seems like a kid that will put in the work to get better though. HinnyHoosier and Crimson and Cream 2 Quote

bodsbums Posted March 20, 2025 Posted March 20, 2025 (edited) Thanks for opinions on Enright. I did notice his high assist numbers. I don’t need a point guard that scores a lot to be happy, but I would like someone who’s efficient when he does shoot. His numbers didn’t scream efficiency to me. 6.2 assts/3.1 TOs is ok, not great. Other than familiarity with the system, seems like a kid we already have had in the program- Cupps. Edited March 20, 2025 by bodsbums Hoosierfanyuh and Napleshoosier 2 Quote

Well he seems like a significantly better shooter than Cupps, his A/T ratio is considerably higher, as well. They don't seem all that alike to me. They are both about 6ft and white though, it seems their similarities stop there. Cupps eFG%- 44%-- not good Enright eFG% for his career--- 52.8% very good Chris007 and RaceToTheTop 2 Quote

EasyEJay Posted March 20, 2025 Posted March 20, 2025 Again I think its about the pieces you put around Enright. I get it , its been difficult watching Purdue have Smith for the last 3 years and us not really having a true scoring PG since Yogi but again we probably already have our leading scorer with Tucker. to compete at Big ten Level we really are in need of an athletic scoring wing at the 3. Dix would fit that or a Jaden Akins / AJ Storr at Wisconsin type of player. pair that with a knock down 3 pt shooter at 2 and were rolling Enright would be a solid starting PG IMO . Experienced, takes care of the basketball, and can play defense cutting off straight line drives and drawing charges CSP and Uspshoosier 1 1 Quote
