Cant find the exact tweet, but I go back to Woodson's quote last year about getting Miller Kopp (the only reliable 3pt shooter on a bad shooting team) more shots/3's, and Woodson got defensive and said, "it's not my job to get Miller Kopp shots." 

To me almost a fireable offense right there for being so stupid, but as a shooter why in the hell would you ever agree to play for that coach?

I believe this way more than the fanbase. Everyone says that IU doesn't shoot enough 3s and Woody disagrees then says college ball in played inside-out. Ugly, boring offense all season with lots of losses. 

Then the report above that after the commitment, Woodson stops recruiting him. I totally believe that.

This decommitment isn't unexpected to me.

That happened with Funderburke when I was in school. 

Wouldn't do Woody's reputation much good, but not sure what's left of that anyway. 

He can transfer without sitting out under the new rules.

Liam does need to get a release from the LOI, but it is rare for a coach/school to deny that. When they do, they get dragged in the media.

I didn't quite remember it correctly. 

Knight wouldn't let Funderburke out of his LOI, so I think he had to stay at IU and complete a certain amount of coursework -- which then made his release automatic.

No school is going to deny a request.  The PR damage it would do in the recruiting world would be terrible and just spiteful on the part of the school.

Knight did not release Funderburke. 

Little different, I suppose, since it was a transfer situation. But that was years ago, and Knight didn't particularly care about PR.

Funderburke transferred to O$U, I believe at the time the B1G had a rule that transfers within conference had to sit a year

I predicted this a while ago. That family wants him to be on a winner. A top 10 team.

This was stated from the beginning.

Nothing that we promised them has happened since he recruited.

No Fland. No Queen. No other star players. Missing the tournament this year.

The hysterics can blame the fans if they want, but the facts above are why this feel apart. It was predicted from me from the beginning if we didn’t prove to be a winner and set up to be a winner it wasn’t going to happen.
