I like stories like that since it kills the narrative some push that no one outside of IU knows what's going on so won't understand if Woodson is fired. Firing Woodson now or at the end of the season isn't bad optics. Keeping him another year would be.

I agree

Trilly saying a big name will be hitting the portal day and wants to be at IU no matter the coach.

Boogie Fland would be my (wildly uneducated) guess

no eligibility left, im pretty sure

I thought the same - but Trilly said he has a medical redshirt year. Not sure when that's from - but just noticed he's only played in (and started in) 9 games this season. Looks like he has a foot/ankle injury

Yeah there's no way Nigel Pack has eligibility unless he's been hurt all year and can successfully petition the NCAA.

Isn't the covid year completely over with after this season?

Nigel Pack has to be like 23 years old haha.

He’s been hurt.  Only played 9 games this year, I’m pretty sure.

I think you're mistaken:

  • He had a year left going into this season.
  • The maximum number of games for a medical redshirt is 30%.
  • He played in 9 games before shutting it down.
  • U Miami has 32 games on their schedule.
  • So Pack played in 28% of Miami's games this season.

By the way it is Pack that Trilly is referring to. Pack is an Indy kid and a really, really good college basketball player. He's exactly the kind of player that allows for an instant rebuild.

So does a 5 million dollar roster budget. What a good coach/could have been with the current roster will really be an IU mystery for me. I really believe if you swapped Woody for someone with a good system like Mark Pope, this team is top-10 right now. Such a colossal waste of a season in so many ways.

Well, I know one coach who IU is interested in asking for assurances that there would be a certain amount of NIL available to him each season. IU gave him that assurance

Come on....give us a little more. LIKE WHO THE COACH IS. haha
